1:10 WOW, thanks for featuring my clips Goosiest! Forza Horizon 5 is definitely my favourite game to drift. Very user friendly, loads of car variety and enjoyable physics. I’d put The Crew 2 as an honourable mention as well. Not for everyone, the physics take a lot of patience too but it’s very satisfying once you learn the limits!

Beamng has changed a lot, physics are different, ffb is overhauled and better graphics. It's pretty much a new game.

LFS (live for speed) is really underrated. Although its a 20 year old game, for me its the most realistic racing simulator out there. The game has a small but loyal community that always wellcomes new people, and with the recent update, official mod support got introduced. Please give it a go, you wont regret it!

what i like about drifting in forza horizon 4/5 is that its a good way to start drifting in games, it allows you to kinda get the hang of the things you need to do to drift, like throttle control to not spin out or get a bad drifting line and controlling counter steer, while its not the most realistic, it has some realistic elements you can bring to other games like assetto corsa. Forza is also good for learning in the sense that, different horse power numbers, tire compounds and sizes and pressure etc has an effect on how the car performs during a drift, this could be useful knowledge for making a drift car in another game, cause then you'll know, "hmm if this car's tires are too wide, its gonna be tougher to make it slide"

Yeah Drift 21 is a really good game but steering wheel support is a bit off for some reason I use the Logitech g923 btw . Idk maybe thrustmasters are better with the game imo

FH5 is master race for simulation drifting, CarX is master race for arcade chill drifting, and if you want more simulation than that go outside and drift IRL :)

I think that if you want arcade-y drift physics and you don't mind spending more money, go for FH5, the game is pretty good

I really hated the way car x did their turn connection. Like you mentioned how the wheel was turning in the other direction. They don't connect the turning of the steering to the axle, they use the angle of the car. That's why its so easy because with the controller you just have to flick into place, where with the steering wheel you have to balance the car at that angle like a grind in Tony Hawk games.

For the people who dont know, FH4 and FH5 are on gamepass, xbox gamepass, you cna pay it for half a dollar if im not mistaken, its a membership, for pc 3 months, i recomend gamepass :)

i usually play assetto rather than carx or any other drifting games, took me a few hrs to learn physics, otherwise when i play carx i cant really drift but i will never put the assist on, its so annoying to throw the wheel from one side to the other, id rather let the wheel do most of the work and just take the time to learn drifting

Well actually, drifting in assetto corsa with a keyoboard is kinda insane, only if you get a 1 month practice and you really know the map. If it does that, you can easily time the handbrake while steering having a clean drift, keyboard is also good in tight roads.
