This is interesting. I quit WoW back during the beginning of BFA (basically a retirement community for heroes after saving the world). I felt like Legion was the ending of the saga and anything else was just bs and pointless. Looks like it fell apart soon after anyways. I'm really digging some of this custom content stuff like ascension and revelation. Although I am still looking for a legion private server. Found a few but I have been having trouble playing on them. I might give these a try. I don't care if they are dead servers or not. I just want something to putz around in from time to time. Wow's aesthetic is enjoyable to me. I don't really care to grind pvp or dungeons. I used to do that back when the game came out 2004 (one of the first level 60 warlocks in vanilla) and I have no desire to go through that hot garbage again lol. Interestingly enough I got to play the end of alpha and all of beta, basically an entire year before it released, and that was my favorite time in the game. They cut soooo much content it wasn't even funny. When you enslaved demons back then they stayed actual size! :) The games lighting was also alot darker in tunnels and at night and you needed actual light sources like torches and lanterns. I know its so weird to want that back but it really does make a difference, and these new servers are kinda bringing all that back. I really like that and never thought it would happen. Anyway enough rambling, thanks for the video.

I have Played on Warmane (Lordaeron and Icecrown) for about 2 years. The server has a high population, but the people are very toxic. Most of the time they don't know what they are doing in dungeons or BGs. The players on Warmane have a problem with assembling the "right talents" for their speck, choosing the right pet or the right stats for the class to maximize the potential of the character they are playing for. Equipment requirements for the dungeons / raid are very high. It is "expected" that a lot of raid members will die in raid because of the lack of knowledge of boss mechanics and therefore someone will have to "pull them through". That makes it difficult for a fresh lvl 80 to get in a raid without a decent guild. The only raids that are usually done are Icecrown and Ruby Sanctum. It is extremely rare to find a group that wants to go Naxxramas, Ulduar or Onyxia... maybe only for the weekly quest. On Lordaeron the boss timer (abilities and enrage timers) are moved forward and therefore the equipment requirements there are the highest of all the servers. PvP is unplayable because of the cross realm system with the combination of the online item shop. On Lordearon you can't buy any equipment from the online shop, on Blackrock you can choose to start with full Relentless set and on Icecrown if you have the money for it you can buy a full Wrathfull set with Shadowmourne... if you don't have the money to spare you will start with Furious set at best. The disparity between the servers is HUGE and now imagine them meeting in one BG. People that spend money on donations (aka Shadowmourne, heroic icc/rs trinkets, ...) will slaughter you in BGs or arenas and make you regret ever creating your character on this server. No wonder most of the classes in PvP are meele classes with Shadowmourne. I remember playing an AB and the aliance had 6x Shadowmourne on their team. Multiboxing is allowed on this server, and it is very common... especially in Wintergrasp. One of the best BGs (my opinion) in the game is ruined because of that. My advice... If you don't have the money to spend on donation don't choose Warmane to do PvP on. If you don't have the patience to deal with people that can't be bothered to look up simple guides for dungeon and wipe raids regularly, don' t play PvE on Warmane. Some might flame this post, some might be thankful for the information provided. Nevertheless I hope it helps and I don't think Warmane belongs on this list of best servers. Have a great day.

Not good for new players who have no experience about wow, no one teaches you shit if your new, instead they say toxic things if you ask in chat. For a fresh account in low level dg they kick you for having low dps. As a new player you level up much slower because most of the times your time is wasted being killed again and again by higher levels spawn killing people or you are killed by people same as your level but with fucking better gear.

One cannot, and will never be bothered by people below their level of mentality, so its either you're one of them or lower than them. Its always an aspect of community that's always been overlooked, the community adjust base on your behaviour not the other way around. Nobody kicks you out of dungeon because you are low. I should know it cuz I play there for like 2 years now, never had any problem. Or probably I had but since its a hardcore x1, buffed content there is just no time to be bothered. The only bad thing about the server is the Icecrown donors and crossrealm but other than the high population is just damn crazy, there's just plenty for everyone. WPVP, City raids ,Tmog runs, Mount runs, and WG is always lit!! No matter how much you make the server an scapegoat it will not go down anytime soon. The high population speaks for the quality of the server and community it had put together.

Great server, shame the cash shop is dodgy as fuck. It's not what's there, it's the prices and audacity. Retro porting a set, that takes five minutes, should not carry a price tag of ~$80.

On Lordaeron you can't buy equipment from the online shop. So the items you gain there you gain only when doing dungeons / BG / arena. The EQ requirements for new lvl 80 to get into raids are very high, you might struggle to get into a decent raid group without a guild. PvP is cross realm, so in BGs and arenas you will meet people with EQ that they could have acquired from the online shop (exception Lordaeron). To answer your question... there is no pay to win on Lordaeron and ONLY when it comes to PvE and world PvP... for everything else if you have the money for it you can own it :)

Ascension is buggy af. One of their core quests regarding unlocking the spell to summon a mythic enchant altar and the quest item related to that quest crashed my game whenever I tried to use it, basically softlocking me. I had buggy issues with other quests and even dungeons sometimes. Does Kronos have Blood Elves playable?
