One thing that seems to be missing from this series is the actual time range it took to complete 100 trades. For example, if one strategy made a total profit of 10% and another strategy made 20%, except over a timeframe that was 3 times longer, then actually the first strategy was more effective (based on the available observations).

On another note, please try 55/80 HMA: when price closes below the 55 HMA = short (I usually mark it in red) when price closes above 80 HMA = long (I usually mark it in green) When price closes between both = wait I usually use it for cryptocurrencies and has given me a pretty good result so far Thanks!

One of trading strategies I been using and it has a high success rate for me is going long on 9&15 EMA crossover on top of the 50 SMA for longs and close the position when it cross back and the opposite for shorts on 1 min chart. I use it accordingly with TTM squeeze and MACD crossover as additional confirmation.

Nice job. About the VWAP or MA pull-back backtest, you could enter the swing high after price touches the indicator with a MA200 as filter (just like you did at the MACD). That should eliminte your bias. Thanks.

This is the biggest problem with new traders. They always try to combine multiple indicators until you can’t see anything on the chart anymore and you get multiple signals from all the indicators. This will lead to losses and not increase your win rate I guarantee it. If MACD strat gives you 60% win rate then that’s all you need buddy. Just start testing it out yourself across multiple time frames and markets. Stop searching for more indicators. This is a never ending journey which doesn’t end well, I’ve been there so I know. Concentrate on money/risk management and psychology, that’s really what makes a successful trader long term.

@@oB_Session I agree with you, but for the betterment of community and just the intrigue of this channel willing to do 100x backtest on possibly some obscure indicators, it's worthwhile to have MACD + entry indicator. ATR to set stop loss figures. MACD is lagging so if TradingRush knows an early-signal indicator, it's worthwhile to use it in conjunction with MACD. So I agree with you for the most part - but don't knock it till you try it.

Vital, IMO. I only have experience with day candles but some assets seem too volatile for that, or need entirely different settings from standard to become as reliable. With software it might be doable to find a larger group of assets that tests to work best with certain timeframe and settings. Or a specific time frame for one asset that's been reliable for years in both bull and bear markets for its asset class/index.

In an uptrend, set it below the swing low. In a down trend, set it above the swing high. Here, the swing low and swing high are the ends of the pullback.

You can use any way you feel comfortable with. In his strategy he puts the SL below/above previous structure but you could also use the ATR indicator or set it below/above the 200 Moving Average. Backtest a few different ways and see which works best for your trading style.
