Paper Mario on Nintendo 64 is the first place that I ever seen the bad bandits. (Never played Yoshi's Island). They were only in the desert.

Shy Guys are one of my favorites. I just started a clay sculpture of one. Made behind the mask creepy. Waiting on mini magnets to be delivered so I can have the mask removable, attached by magnets. Will have a few masks to switch out from. Majora's Mask masks and masks from other nerdoms.

I honestly never considered the Bandits as Shy guys due to how different their body structure is, but looking closely at them I guess they may be considered a variety. Quite interesting that they haven't shown up in a Mario Kart game yet

Captain road can't normally jump however if he goes in a warp box he jumps out and if he somehow hits a flagpole he does a jump victory animation both examples are in 3d world if you edit the level
