Also, LED indicators, and most important, chargers in the box! Phone makers (Especially $am$ung, Awful Apple, and Greedy Google) are really screwing us over, now! We used to have all those things and pay less. I, for one, am not letting them do this to me. My flagship is an LG V60. But if you want a Flagship that is from 2023, check out the Sony Xperia 1 V. It is a true flagship with an SD card reader and a headphone jack, but it costs a pretty penny at $1400. However, it has the aforementioned things, plus a 4k screen, incredible camera capabilities, 30 watt charging (sadly no charger in the box 😮‍💨) and a 5100 MAH battery.

Just bought the S21 Ultra last week. It is a fantastic phone. No heating issues, very good battery life, great display and very good cameras!! Also performance is great. I sold my Pixel 7 Pro for good money , bought this one and kept pretty money in my pocket😊

Hey man I just want to say thanks for your videos, I know next to nothing about phones but I knew I was in the market for one cos my current A21 isn't holding its charge... ing cable. I dropped the phone and now it's tricky to get the USB-C to stay connected. Been trying to keep it going for a few months but it's getting the better of me. RIP. Anyway, I was watching a video comparing the current A-series models to each other, trying to justify the expense to myself when I saw one of your vids in the sidebar and realised I'd never even thought about an old flagship, but it immediately made sense. I've binged your stuff, probably watched a couple of the videos two or three times to let it all sink in, and just ordered a S20 FE 5G. I know I said flagship and that's kinda lower end than some of what you're talking about, but a) I already have over 100GB of music on an SD card (I love music and hate renting stuff, so don't stream it) so a 128GB model without an SD card slot was out of the question b) you kept talking about the differences between the Snapdragon processors and when I started looking at listings for phones, I was checking the specs and just didn't recognise this "Exynos" name which led me down a whole other rabbit hole... yeah I'm in the UK. Turns out the only S20 with a Snapdragon processor in my country is the FE 5G, so that made a difficult decision easy. Even though it's not something you cover in the videos that I've seen, (which is totally fair, I don't expect you to know about ranges in a whole other continent and you do point out that your information is for the US) I wouldn't have spotted it if it wasn't for the information you gave me, so kudos. And though I probably would've been happy with an s20 or s20+, I think I got a better deal this way. That's all a longwinded way of saying thanks! Your videos really helped me out.

Sadly you returned your A54, but would you consider buying an A34 for the channel? Why didn't you like the A54? It has a processor that is about as powerful as the SD 865, and you like that chip. It must be something else. It would have been great doing flagship comparisons between the A54 and older flagships. However the A34 is liked over the A54 by some. The Mediatek chip in it is nearly as powerful as the chip in the A54, but it is said to be more reliable and actually has better gaming performance, possibly due to RAM speed.

The Exynos chips have always taken a while to be optimized post-release. It will improve over time. In any case, if you don't mind slightly inferior cameras, the a34 is larger and Dimensity-based. Almost the same specs. I have been playing with it here in Korea, and find it an even better bargain.

@@iAfroTech I will give the long answer, today. Those Poco phones (and all Chinese brand phones) are off my list automatically. I do not buy Chinese spy phones that get only one Android update. I did that once and bought a TCL phone, and I was very disappointed by the lack of updates and just a few security patches, plus Chinese-owned TikTok downloaded on my Chinese brand phone by itself! I don't want any freakin TikTok. I'm a mature man at 50 years old! I don't trust Chinese phones. So, that leaves the Pixel 7a. Two main reasons I'd prefer the A34 over it. 1. It's just too small for me. That little 6.1 inch screen just doesn't compare to the large 6.6 inch screen on the A34. 2. That high $499 price. The A34 is a reasonable $350. Otherwise, the A34 has a processor that is not much less powerful than the Pixel 7A's processor. The screen on the A34 is a higher quality screen than any of those phones you mentioned, with a Super AMOLED screen. Lastly, Samsung phones get software support that is second to none on any other Android phones, with 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security patches on the A34. Thanks for reading.

What do you do if you have a used phone and you don't have the security swipe pattern/code/pass for the previous person? Even hard resetting it with factory reset this still somehow keeps going back to the swipe pattern wanted by the previous user. So I'm stuck. Was given the phone by family member, but I can't contact them.

I have one 5 years now, never needed any screen replacements after years of falling down stairs, I broke my camera while back and it’s charging sensor keeps glitching saying it’s wet, still super fast loads of memory, I’m looking to upgrade now, battery life is starting to slow down show it’s age. But 5yrs with note 9 be so hard to replace such a great phone want a good quality camera. Biggest problem with note 9? Was when it went to 0% battery the wet charger sensor wouldn’t allow me to charge, would take forever to bypass it never let it fully die

My concern is the updates, esp. the security ones and the battery life... My definition of a refurbished mobile is a new quality battery and recycle the elements of the old... all mobiles in the last several years can scroll tiktok, fashion, make calls and take selfies, why spend a fortune on the latest greatest... How do i know that they have been "renewed" and what is amazon's definition.... do they always believe the reseller... and the "reviews" on amazon and YT channels... fake news? Samsung sponsored. BTW I have an old Samsung A71 which takes great images...is the main reason i bought it and i speak with my brother once a week who lives out of town. Just saying.
