I'm glad you mentioned both GHOST and Hachi. GHOST's COMMUNICATION series is one that fascinates me but I respect their decision to cancel it. HOUSEWIFE RADIO was a song of catharsis for me during my previous breakdown. I still admire GHOST's strength to be involved with music esp since they dont have a favorite Vocaloid to use. In an Amino interview, they said that each Vocaloid has their own potential. Maybe thats why they use a lot of Vocaloids in many of their songs. As for HACHI. He rarely uses Vocaloids nowadays to produce songs but he is still big in the music scene in Japan. He goes by his real name now and long before he used Vocaloids, he was already involved with music. He went to produce Sand Planet to celebrate the anniversary and it reflects how the Vocaloid scene is now esp with how he and other producers feel. Hachi is Kenshi Yonezu and I am curious if you know about his other works under his name. You see, Yonezu is very, involved in the Japanese music scene since he also composes and sings songs for local shows (ie. He was the one who sang the song for BNHA Season 2). I recommend Lemon, Flourite and Flamingo from Hachi/Kenshi Yonezu

My top 5: 5. Ryo, he made Supercell, which is probably one of the most iconic vocaloid albums with two of the most iconic vocaloid songs Melt and World is Mine. 4. Neru, Lost One's Weeping and Tokyo Teddy Bear are so fucking good, he puts thought onto everything he makes and his lyrics have deep meanings. Such an icon. 3. Wowaka, just... a legend in general, I can relate deeply to his lyrics and his songs are just good in general. R.I.P. my guy. Unknown Mother Goose and World's End Dancehall are my faves. 2. Mitchie M, I love the way he tunes, of course, and his songs are really catchy, my personal favorites are Freely Tomorrow and Ageage Again. 1. I 100% agree with your list, however, there is one producer i would like to add : Halyosy. Some of his first songs are popular (Fire Flower, Snowman, Sakura no Ame) but i feel like his more recents songs, while being amazing, are totally slept on, especially Pain eraser, which have an amazing tuning for all the vocaloid (or stepper, also amazing) but doesn't seem to get much recognision, struggling to pass the 100k views on nico nico

Yeah I'm familiar with Halyosy! I didn't mention him on the list because I have only ever heard 2 of his songs (fireflower and snowman as you mentioned lol) and I purposefully chose not to put artists where I've only listened to one or two songs because it may not be a proper representation of their work. That is a shame his newer stuff isn't doing well though :/

I love mitchie M, age age again and freely tomorrow are some of my favorites. I also really love Wowaka, as unhappy refrain is so incredible, I was devastated when he passed away. I also love Kurousa for making my very favorite song ever, Senbonzakura, as well as acute and Cantarella. Of course Supercell for obvious reasons and Livetune as well for making Tell Your world, my second favorite song ever, as well as weekender girl, catch the wave, and decorator. I love Ghost! I'm new to the vocaloid community (Even though I dont have vocaloid), and have listened to almost all of Ghosts songs x2 at least. Not a big fan of iolite (completely opposite I know). Wait, you're both into Owl City and Vocaloid, and you don't hate "The Midsummer Station"? Oh. My. Gosh. Don't tell me you're a Vivziepop fan too. Kyaami and Cien Miller/Crusher-P should have also been featured, they're two INSANELY TALENTED girls. Not to mention wowaka, who was the Owl City of Vocaloid with his dark, hard-to-understand lyrics, intricate instrumentals, and Vocaloid. I mean, I do know Owl doesn't use it, (heaven knows I want him to try it and I want Owlloid and Breanneloid to become a reality) but Breanne Düren is sort of a Vocaloid slave to him (come on, even her own original music is partially written by him), so it's okay to compare the two.

Some of my favorite Owl City songs come from that album!!! :D I dunno Vivziepop tho lol I know, but there's just so many producers that many slipped my mind, but yeah Crusher-P is also mad talented!!! :D Wowaka is amazing, gosh there is a lot I left out of honorable mentions lol Though to me, I don't find Owl City's lyrics too difficult to understand. He uses a lot of metaphors but it's easy to decode ya know? Like Beautiful Times is someone going through a breakup but not giving up because of it, Vanilla Twilight is about losing a loved one and Wolf Bite is using wolves as a metaphor for asking someone to be there for you :) Ooo though, doing Vocaloid covers of Owl City songs is a lot of fun! :D

@@WeebaLu Well, what I meant is that Owl's lyricism is hard to decode unless he himself states what the song is about, plus his older songs have some pretty dark undertones and intricate instrumentals, just like wowaka's. As for Vivziepop, or actually Vivienne Medrano, she's an AMAZING animator, artist and character designer from Maryland that graduated from SVA in NYC. Her fan animation for "Silhouette" was what got me into Owl City in the first place. Check out her work if you're interested, she's got an original series coming at October 28, 2019. A series that all of her fanbase *_Hazbin_* waiting for [it's a pun on the name of the show, "Hazbin Hotel"] since at least 2015. The show features original music and musical numbers [up to now, only one has been pre-released, but Vivzie stated that she loves musicals, so I'm assuming there's plenty more left in store] by The Living Tombstone, Parry Gripp and Cooper "Gooseworx" Goodwin,beautiful animation and voice acting [that's kinda what you always get from Viv], a wild cast of demon characters, not to mention all the comedy - it will be FUNNY AS HELL. That last one was a pun because the series is about a hotel in Hell, haha. She also has a lot of beautiful stuff she does, so check her out!

The English Vocaloid producers are typically hit-or-miss for me. I'll like a few of their songs (e.g. "Circles" and "Monster" by Kira), and then their later songs I don't like so much. Sometimes, I will actually really dislike a song from them (e.g. that one song from Circus-P that goes "rIp mEEE To ShREdS, tEaR mY HeARRRt Out"). It's mostly a combination of lyrics and voicebank.
