Everyone should own a voice recorder. I cannot tell you how many times mine helped me when disputes came into play. My bank charged me $35.00 for something very stupid an employee did. The bank would not refund me the money and was rude about it until I asked them if they would like to hear the entire conversation that led up to the charge. Instant refund. Again, these are valuable tools that pays for themselves so I encourage everyone to get one and use it. I also recommend that you get a unit with a built in battery and at least 32gigs of internal flash ram. The optional external memory port is a great feature but I personally would get the internal battery and ram over a unit with removable storage.

I have close to 200 recordings that I plan of keeping for years* *I received a bad surgery and I was smart enough to record all of my doctor visits and because of those, I will be able to get a sizable settlement because they can no longer lie about a few things.* *It has really changed my life for the better.*

Does anyone know how to fix this: so Basically I have an Olympus WS- 853 digital voice recorder, which I use for meetings and regular stuff, (although it's not as good as I thought it was despite being £85), I once recorded rain sound with it while outside just by using the handheld recorder alone but the noise capture was not the best of quality and the wind seemed to really mess up with the sound too. Does anyone have any suggestions for external microphones or other cheap but really good bits of equipment I could buy to fix the wind and quality problem especially when recording outside noise. If so I would really appreciate it 💛 if you could give full names of recommended products or equipment, or full details in advice. Thank you!

Use PC/laptop + Audio Interface + XLR microphone, XLR male/female lead, mic stand. Some portable recorders like SONY PCM D100/TASCAM mk3 can also be mains powered.

What about the rest of the info? Nothing on how the interface works. Can I label on the device itself? Can I delete files without plugging into a computer? Can you pause a recording to work on another then come back and continue the recording? How about some info on the navigation of the interface? Or how the display looks and operates? One has to wonder why you took the time to give a review that is missing at least half of the important features. To me they are more important than the ones you took time to tell me about. I can get that info from the side of the box...

The video is lacking the following information benchmarks such as, batteries life, potential power adapter replacement with specific voltage and minimum amp, info about heat, humidity, water resistant etc.; details about user manual comprehensibility index, user friendly or ease to operates the device, workmanship and durability of the devices, quality index of the recording and play back, potential electronics interference, ability to add on external devices such as USB flash-drives, SD cards and maximum memory capacity the device will accept, and other add on such as USB cables, types of phono jack such as 1/8 (3.5mm) and 1/4 (6.35mm), 3 pin XLR; RCA audio etc, wireless control, windshield This is a good brief review among the devices that caught the reviewer attention for whatever reasons among the myriad of other recorders.
