I can't believe you guys didn't put tank showdown from sly 2. The controls were terrible and it was hard to kill enemy tanks. But I love you guys and I always watch your videos. You guys rock.

Thanks for watching our videos! We actually didn't forget. Tank Showdown came up when we were making the list. The controls did suck and it wasn't any more fun in the episode's final operation. Though we agreed the mission was kind of short, if you could get use to controls quick enough. One of my least favorite missions is Water Bug Run from Sly 2. In the mission you have to carry a water bug to Rijan's office so Bentley hear Rijan's conversations. The problem is the bug will make noise if you hold on to it for too ling and you have to place in pool of water to silence it, and the pools aren't marked in any way, so you have no idea where the next pool is.

Even though Jak and Daxter tends to have a larger fanbase, and Ratchet & Clank is still going on and still have fans of their own, it is the Sly Cooper fans that are the most dedicated and love the series so much they want to make videos about it.

I think that almost all of the worst missions belong to Sly4. I never felt the atmosphere that the previous games gave me and i liked a small percentage of its missions... Sly4, definitely, makes you feel that it is made for children, in comparison with the other ones that combine both childish and adult aspects. The script, which is one of the most important assets for a good Sly game, was bad and the characters seemed kinda not as bright as you used to know them. In addition to that, Sly4 is the only game in the series that I never felt Bentley was a genius. Sly was a diamond and Sony destroyed it... I don't dislike Sanzaru, because probably Sony guided them to make it more appealing for children, even tho I don't think that they are able to make a good Sly game. Despite all of that, I prefer Sanzaru to complete whatever they had in mind, than to end like that. Sly and Sly's fans, deserve a better treatment than the one that Sony gave them.

I feel like they tried too much to make it for children that playing it now as an adult it’s a confusing frustrating game, even for kids it’s too hard. overstimulating level designs, I refuse to play the ice age level. Art direction they went with the characters are kinda gross. Missions aren’t really fun

My favorite mission is from sly 2 when you dance with Nela and Carmelita and my least favorite mission is a tie between A Grave Undertaking in Mrz Rubys level and the entire Clockwerk level (especially the hacking and shooting the robot falcons).

I used to think the chicken game was awful but tbh I replayed it and it's actually really really easy to get the roosters to blow each other up and makes the mission way easier

You can literally exit the stage, and the roosters will just blow up, and jump back in. Rinse and repeat.

When it comes to down home cooking, it's always 50/50 for me. Half the time I get it on my first try, and the other I fuck it up completely. True the roosters kill you with one hit, but if you have 2 lucky horseshoes then I think the mission is fine. I always loved Lemonade Range because it was the most fun! To make it all the better I just pretend the Cooper Gang is drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade lol

Bob Spankenheimer well there in Australia which started as a British colony and in britian what most Americans call lemonade is basically Mike's hard lemonade so if the terminology transferred then technically there drinking alcohol but a younger audience wouldn't catch it alot of adults that don't know different countries terminologies wouldn't catch it so ya there getting hammered in a kids game.

Yasss! Home cooking was so frustrating that I remembered when I replayed this game I would save this mission to be the last one to run because of how aweful it was. I cant remember what mission this one which is my favorite but it is Sly Cooper the 1st games rhythm button masher facing the bad-mojo-mystic crocodile woman. Even though it was easy, I absolutely loved it!

I played Sly 3 first (not my choice it was just bought for me) and I absolutely hate Dimitris gameplay. His first mission scared me because I feared the sharks, and I just hate the Dr. M fight. I started replaying Sly 2 and it is sorta tied with Thieves in Time for my favorite and the only mission I really hate from it was the tank one and Water Bug Run because much like the sharks in Sly 3, I was scared of it. I also agree Lemon Rage is awesome

I'm taking the opportunity over the summer to replay the Sly games, and I finally beat Down Home Cooking by permanently holding down triangle with the "slow" power enabled. It really helped, but I had to stop after that because my finger had cramped up from it.

Using Sly 1 power ups are such a pain sometimes. Finger cramping can happen, along with sometimes having to weirdly position your hands. I use both the power ups slow and fast in a recent playthrough. I found trying to stand still was great, however when you need to platform and use the power up, my hand did some weird claw crab thing for most of the game

Any of the levels that are twin-stick shooter stuff, like the tank driving in the Contessa's place, or the treasure chests under water in Raleigh's place in the first game are just my most loathed. The second most hated for me, you nailed it: those levels with Bentley trying to multi-task either 4 different buttons in the crypt or 4 different screens in the plane hangar. UGH!

My favorite mission is a tie between the Cooper Gang taking down Australian miners in the lemonade bar and mission involving The Panda King blowing up vampires and crypts with his fireworks in Sly 3.

Dynamic duo from sly 3 was pretty shit to me. Navigating around the map from rooftop to rooftop using a RC car was so annoying. And you have to use the grapple cam to lead Penelope back to the safe house without her getting detected? Yeah who thought using the slowest and most boring gadget for half the mission was a good idea, and why doesn't Bentley just lead her back to the safehouse on foot?

Im surprised that one mission from "menace in the north, eh" isn't on here as the worst- the one where you glide around the sky over the oil mains and finally over to the island to get an eagle's egg while a never ending amount of killer eagles fly directly at you.

My least favorite mission is in the first game where Murray has to collect 50 computers in order for Bentley to access Clockwork’s death ray. There are orange slime monsters that are also trying the get 50 computers first so you have to kick them out of the way. Took me forever to complete that mission when I first played the game.

Great video. Not much of a gamer, but for some reason I loved the Sly Cooper games so much. Are there any games similar to Sly cooper? Or games that I should consider playing based on my love for Sly Cooper?

I mean based on the first game, Sly 1 is similar to Crash Bandicoot in some ways. My best friend who was watching me play even ask if it was made by the same people. As for Sly 2 through Sly 4, I am not sure. I love the thieving heisting idea of it, and haven't found a game like that recently. The only one that sticks out in my mind right now is GTA V. However the different gameplay mechanics, solid platforms, AND group of friends pulling off heists, I haven't found anything. If you do find something like it whether Indie or AAA let me know!

Down Home Cooking is super easy, actually. Most of the chicken will group up towards the barrel, which is the exact place where you want to be to make those two bombers collide in a matter of seconds after they come out. Just run around there and you'll be safe until the very end.

Personally thieves in time should had more ancestors, get rid of Bob, add more villains and it would’ve been the perfect follow up to 3. That would’ve been brilliant I think! 10 episodes would’ve done it in my book.

I agree with all of your best missions except for number 1. My worst list would go like this: 5. Charged TNT run (why do the guards turn around at the most random times? Scaling the blimp without jumping is hard enough) 4. Tank showdown 3. Any of Dimitri’s diving missions 2. Piranha lake 1. Down the line (god I hate that RC car)

I was playing the Sly 3 collection again to redo this video since of a poll i put up a few weeks ago. This comment stuck out to me about charged TNT run. Yeah it gets annoying, I'm not sure how it was in the original PS2 version, though I am REALLY grateful that the game doesn't set you all the way back if you blew up. Got shot with all 3 charges, throughout i would have to be set back at the beginning, nope just when I collect the third charge. Also Yeah scaling without jumping is a pain, the mission is just slow and last too long.

I can't believe it took me this long to notice, but in Australia, 'lemonade' refers to a sprite type drink. Which should be clear and fizzy. Given that context, the lemonade served in that bar seems dodgy as fuuuuuck.
