I really admire all you people that go on these wonderful out- of- the- way hikes.I have done the "Overland " walk many years ago which was unforgettable in so many ways however being a "mainlander" with little real hiking experience I took the "soft" option and stayed in the comfortable cabins!I have however hiked to the summits of "Mt.Roland"and "Wellington" both of which were terrific.I wish that I had met people like you Lucas when I was younger, who love the outdoors and are always interested in exploring off the beaten track destinations, and of course you are SO LUCKY to live in "Paradise"/Tasmania;If I was younger I would live there;for me it has a magic all its own and I have travelled all over the world.I wish you and your colleagues many more safe and exciting Tassie' hikes.Cheers!Rod. Ps.Can you recommend any hiking companies that go to "The Walls of Jerusalem N.P?"It is an area that has fascinated me for many years;I would like to go there when the "scoparia" are in bloom and with some snow around;am I asking for too much?!!

Hey mate, thanks very much for the comment! On the walls of Jerusalem query, I know a few of the companies who run guided trips out there, but I don't know what they're like, so I can't really make any recommendations. I know some of them also do Overland track trips, and the guides I've bumped into running those trips seem pretty good if that means anything.

Excellent list. For anyone interested, Mt Pillinger would be at the top of my personal list.

Cheers! Views from Pillinger are pretty awesome, such a nicely located mountain. I'd have to have a think about if my list has changed since I made this video.

Yeah, it's so cool having Lake Ayr sitting there under Ossa. It's almost the perfect view of some of our most famous areas too. Super rewarding for a reasonably easy walk.

Glad to see your channel is still growing nicely. I reckon you’ll tick over 1000 subs by June.

Haha wishful thinking I suspect! I reached 500 in late november last year, so I think June next year would be more likely aha. Never say never though ;)

Lucas Chamberlain If you shared it around on social media a bit more you would easily, especially the Facebook groups or reddit.

Could do, but I feel like I might be seen as a show off if I went around posting about my channel aha. I used to post links to videos in various groups, but I don't really bother anymore. The number of subscribers I have isn't that big a deal really (unless it multiplied by 100 or 1000 ahaha). I'd rather people find the channel through their own accord rather than me forcing it down people's throats. But if a page or person shared a video or a link to the channel, then I certainly wouldn't complain.

Lucas Chamberlain I’ve posted a few of your videos on Reddit before. In terms of your channel you should share it as it’s absolute gold in terms of the knowledge of Tasmanian hiking you showcase. It’s safe to say I have never heard of 95% of the places you have been to. So without watching your videos I wouldn’t ever consider going to visit them

Video idea, 5 things I'm missing the most about bushwalking . What I wouldn't give for a face full of Richea Scorparia ,a steep exposed scree scramble and a cold windy summit !

I agree Mt Maurice was above expectation even more so it's nearest neighbour Mt Scott. For mine Mt Victoria also near by very underrated at least for a southerner that knew little about it.

Also completely agree that the entire Meander region of walks are highly underrated. Bastion Bluff would make my list.

Yeah I've seen some pictures of Mt Scott, and it looks quite intriguing. I did have Mt Victoria on my list of candidates for this video, but the others won out. Not to say Victoria is a bad walk; on the contrary, I agree it's a terrific little climb! The Meander area is superb. If parks are reopened during the winter, then I think I'll definitely be heading up that way to check out the waterfalls and forest when they'll be at their best.

Would agree Mt. Maurice is more enjoyable than expected. Actually a good trail run if you’re so inclined.

Yeah OK, does the trail run utilise the alternative track to the top as well and make a circuit out of it?

Have you ever walked Mount Dromedary?

Yes I have, a few years ago now. I combined a trip there with a visit to Platform Peak. I do have a video of the trip if you're interested. 👍
