Thank you for creating and sharing this stunning video. The cliffs were epic viewing, but that beautiful caramel echidna is just enchanting. 😊

Thank you so much! The cliffs were incredible but there's no denying the echidna was the star of the show 😉 We'd never seen an echidna that caramel colour before, it was so beautiful.

Visited the Tasman peninsula just recently and the nasty drought has really hurt the area.....soooo brown and sad. Roadkill galore. Praying for rain as the area dearly needs a lot!

Thank you so much! Good idea, we should definitely chat a bit more about the food side of things. Being on the road definitely adds another layer of difficulty to meal planning and cooking. We're huge foodies so love cooking and trying out new stuff 😊

Awesome video guys, just on a side note re Eaglehawk neck. They also had steel jawed man traps set to catch escaping Convicts, just imagine giant Rabbit Trap. Times were harsh back then. We did the cruise around the base of those magnificent cliffs, they are spectacular from sea, the Seal colony is also awesome. Our Boat captain and guide told us a story of how Bob Pennicott , The owner of Pennicott cruises, embarked on an adventure of sailing around all around the Australian coastline, with a German mate of his. They ended their quest there at those cliffs, and his friend remarked " Ah Robert, you have saved the best til last " If you get a chance take a day trip to Maria Island Stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. I highly recommend.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Australia's convict history was so harsh... Funnily enough, as we were on our walk we were talking to each other about what it would be like trying to escape and how we'd try escape (weird I know) but I (Lydia) was pretty convinced we wouldn't be able to do it as I was sure they'd have hidden traps, so thank you for confirming.. how terrifying! I bet the cruise was incredible, they looked crazy big from above, I can't even imagine how huge they would have felt towering above you from the ocean. 🤯

Ah…..so that’s what the peninsula looks like……back 2017, we experienced on our crazy fly drive day trip from Melbourne…..a weather bomb…the coldest wildest, wet stormy weather…..saw lots of rain…..sure we did see a few sights and the very haunting Port Arthur…maybe best to see it on a foul day to just make you ponder how grim it was for those convicts…..anyway the day trip was fun….so much so we said we would return, and return we will this coming December…..hopefully a catch a day of sunshine….ok an afternoon then….just love Tassie ..oh and it was in December as well…..6C that day……home from home I guess with my island.

The cliffs are truly magnificent. Made me think 'Nature's Cathedral'... so awe inspiring! I also had the song 'This is Australia' running through my head. Don't you think we should finally give up 'Advance Australia Fair'? How cool would it be for everyone to sing a modern song rather than a stupid one that no Aussie knows the words to!? Lol

Cannot agree more, they were breathtaking! Wow it's been awhile since we sung the national anthem, makes us think back to school assemblies when we'd all have to stand up and sing it. I can't imagine us all hopping up and singing 'This is Australia' instead 🤣🎶💃

We're only just starting to look at our plans for south of Hobart now so haven't confirmed anything yet. We're definitely keen to do some exploring south of Hobart but no idea where yet, if you have any recommendations we'd love to hear them! 💙
