KTM or BMW for me. As a taller rider (6'4") I have no issues with size of bike.The lack of KTM dealerships in the UK might be a problem, but I think I could live with that for all the off-road riding I'd actually be doing. It's price, weight, and power are big advantages when up against the others on your list. I would be willing to give the Harley a try, looks quite futuristic for a Hog.

I've owned (2) 1290 super adventures, great bikes for iron butts and bike camping but they only saw the dirt maybe 5% the rest was pavement . I just bought the new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and absolutely love it , I'm going down to Baja in Sept/Oct on it

I didnt care for the Super Tenere's riding position, plus Yamaha discontinued it. They're good, just not top 5 for me.
