JUST NEED TO MAKE A STATEMENT SINCE PEOPLE ARE SAYING IM SPREADING MISINFORMATION! I literally never stated to know ANYTHING about satanism, I never said they worship Satan at all, I have no idea what it's about it. Harmony Nice to be fair, you are half right as there are two 'types' of satanism, one of which dose worship Satan. the other (which is the more popular of the two faiths) dose not and I'm fact doesn't worship any deities. Many that follow that faith (like two of my very good friends) actually prefer to see it as a life style/ philosophy as it dose not worship any deities. Their philosophies/ "rules" also seem semi similar as to that of Wicca where it's about not harming others e.c.t but there are somethings that are VERY different. For example the religion/philosophy was born out of trying to piss of Christians (hence the name) and their "rules" are rather brutal to ignorance, which I think is iffy as it seems to expect automatic knowledge rather than allowing space to be educated, which seems very different to Wicca.

I myself am a Wiccan but come from a family of strict Christians... so I've had my fair share of struggles with judgement and misconceptions and them not being accepting or just thinking Wicca is something evil. Yeah my mom did that to me too, she said it's the devils way of controlling you and that I was going to hell and she burned all of the books I had about witchcraft and I was grounded for about 6 months. she controlled everything I was doing until I got baptised....which is sad bc I fell into the trap of Christianity and I don't believe in the Christian way, I'm believe in multiple gods rather than one. anyway I'm rambling lol sorry

Karupé oh trust me once I got the opportunity to move out, I left that household and I never plan on going back. I still love my mom and everything but I was sadly mistaken that she would understand and she never will. My boyfriend's parents are the same way...so I can't be open about it with anyone on either side of our families. The only ones who know are my older sister who is also Pagan but isn't open about it either, my 2nd cousin, my boyfriend and my coworkers. and if I have a family of my own I would probably have to hide it from my child so they don't tell their grandparents....

There are different types of Satanism but the most mainstream one is Laveyan Satanism. Laveyan Satanists do not believe in Satan at all. They practice self-worship and they follow a set of rules that increase their self love/awareness. The rules they follow also tell them to accept other people and treat them well no matter their race, religion, gender, etc.

also just an addition for anyone interested, witch is a gender neutral term. you may see online that a male witch is a called a warlock or a wizard but these are not used in the community. wizard sounds too fantasy novel-y and warlock can actually be seen as an insult so it is not used. :)

Satanism isn't worshipping the devil. I've always seen it more as a state of mind/philosophy because it's not about worshipping a deity, but about respecting yourself and being confident in who you are. That is also what the satanic bible teaches, it's about all sorts of aspects about oneself and life in general and how to be confident and happy. The inverted pentagram isn't about the devil either. Like you said, the points represent the elements of water, earth, fire, air and spirit. With the tip pointing upwards it represents placing the spirit (aka deities) above all other elements. In Satanism, where they don't worship deities and place more importance on oneself, the pentagram is inverted, as the spirit isn't "above" the elements that make up the world. Other than that, I completely agree with what you've said - practically all of these misconceptions come from Christians who want to get rid of Paganism by making people scared of it.

I come from a Christian home (I consider myself Wiccan though, and am not out of the “broom closet”) and completely understand why a lot of people, mostly Christians, consider paganism/neopaganism to be a satanic religion. It says multiple times in the Bible (I actually think it’s one of the commandments) that God is the only god and we should not worship anyone or anything else, or hold anyone or anything higher than God. And obviously, anything that strays from what God says is clearly then influence of Satan (aka “The Deceiver”). Now, this is just what I have been taught my whole life, and may not be true for a lot of Christians.

I really liked this video! Personally, I am an agnostic atheist and was brought up christian. Wicca, paganism, witchcraft has always attracted me though. Nature is very important to me, and having celebrations that are centred around seasonal changes is wonderful. The more you teach about the sabbaths, the more I feel grounded in the present. Derealisation is something I experience quite often and it sucks, but taking time to thank the earth for the changing seasons helps me to slow down and feel real again.

The main rule I have followed from I was a child is the "rule of three"... what you give out is returned thrice to thee. ( basically it's a description of karma, but also an expression of, if you want good things to happen and be around you, you have to work for it by putting good things out around you and treating others ( people, animals and the Earth) in the way that you would wish to be treated. My maternal grandparents knew I had the Wiccan way in me and respected that, especially as I am a huge believer in that everything a person does comes back threefold. They saw how respectful and loving I am to Mother Earth & fellow humans. They saw how connected to the world I am, and at the heart of their catholic faith is love. We connected over the respect for our planet & our community. I'd go to church with them, and went through all of the major catholic milestones (apart from marriage) out of respect to my lineage. The cohesiveness was beautiful.

I'm Christian and I love watching your videos about Wicca ❤️ the fact that Christianity invented "satan" isn't actually accurate. The figure of Satan comes from other cultures that ended up being part of Christianity by the time the Roman Empire conquered Israel and brought lots of their beliefs to the people. Christians to differentiate themselves from the pagans, incarnated evil in pagan deities, so people would realise that "the right path" was to follow Christianity. As a Christian, I don't believe in Satan because of that. The Old Testament doesn't represent Satan as the incarnation of evilness or classifies Satan as the great enemy of God. Jesus as the Christ that was promised just said: Love God with all your heart and love others as you love yourself. I truly think Wicca practice the same principle. You spread goodness and kindness. I've learned a lot about your religion throughout your videos and realised the Church in general spreads so much hate and misconceptions about other religions. So, as a Christian, I'd like to say thank you for always trying to explain your religion with so much patience and kindness and let you know that we are not all the same (I can't speak for the whole Christian Church of course, but for myself)

CHARMED made Book of Shadows popular & made to look like a Wicca Bible. I'm on my 2nd BoS cos when we split up briefly my husband threw all my wicca stuff out. Due to my Granddaughters going through my stuff...even though they know they are not allowed ...I have to hide it all. When we went on holiday & my DiL was looking after my cats my Granddaughters decided to ruin my BoS I had restarted & scribbled in it.They are now 12 & 6 but I am slowly getting my altar back together cos they broke everything & my BoS was destroyed. If they come over now I lock all of it away.

In all reality the only reason christianity is real and followed is because people didnt like the paganism and wicca. Next time any of your friends mess with you about that just let them know that your religion is the only reason christmas, easter, etc is followed

As a Christian woman I personally have absolutely no negative thoughts or feelings towards Wicca, however, I do know so many Christians who don't have anything good to say about Wiccans and do infact speak of Wiccans in the same manner as someone with Satanic beliefs. I've always heard so many contradictive things regarding Wiccans and Wicca practices as well as the meanings behind common symbols and I appreciate you clearing much of that up ! Love your videos !

I stop following the christian faith a while ago because their is too meany holes in the bible, and too much in fearing everything; however i do not have anything against that religion. Wiccans do not believe in Satan, Satan is a Christian concept so if you do not believe in "God" you cannot believe in nor worship satan. We do worship the Triple Goddess & the Horned God BUT HE is not Satan. Wicca is more like Gaia in that we worship nature/ that the world is alive.

This is so fascinating. I’m 15 and I’ve grown up Christian but this religion intrigues me. I kind of have naturally taken to respecting the earth and all of those things. I personally see witch as broad umbrella term, because people with different religions might classify themselves as a witch. Since I'm technically polytheist but also believe the deities to be one with nature so pantheist and mainly follow pagan practices, and some wicca ones, I think the simplest thing to call myself is a witch cuz I don't really fit either one of these more narrow terms but I need them to explain what my faith is exactly.
