Good idea, those brands definitely have beautiful products nobody's talking about. The Dome Glow highlighter in the shade Rose Gold from Hard Candy comes to mind. Lots of lip products and blushes from Neutrogena and Almay has some cream eyeshadows that are GORGEOUS.

For me personally, and obviously my opinion isn’t the most important lol... Almay is kinda bland and Revlon hasn’t been hot the past few years. I wish they were though because I used to love them! Hard Candy can be a bit gimmicky but has some good hidden gems and Neutrogena has a few really good products but dang they’re so high priced! Haha

They used to have a foundation with a red top that was sooo good; but the discontinued it. The replacement is no good. Their scandaleyes nude liner, I think the lip liners that require sharpening are way better because they don't break; 49 natural is the best!

Yes! I haven't found something that is cruelty free and a dupe for them. They last in the waterline, are creamy but don't smudge everywhere and come in some excellent colours. And they don't break the bank!

My favorite Rimmel product is Rimmel scandaleyes waterproof kohl kajal liner, this liner will stay on all day, real waterproof/sweatproof (believe this hot flash girl) wish it came in a retractable instead of pencil but still love it in every color.

I remember loving a red tube of Rimmel mascara when I was in upper grades in high school. I think it was called Volume Flash. I remember wearing that and a Rimmel eyeshadow trio to my senior prom! The trio isn’t made anymore; it included some pretty light colors, like a sparkly white, lilac, and purple.

My favorite product from Rimmel is their Stay Matte Primer. It’s like a lotion and it’s a little sticky. I am not THAT oily. But I use a small amount to target the tops of my cheeks, nose, and middle of my forehead. It makes my foundations last soooo much longer and they don’t break up throughout the day. LOVE IT!!! Might be worth a try to see if it extends the wear of your makeup (I know you’re not really oily either)? 🤷‍♀️ 😊

I was literally about to leave the same comment. I have a very oily T zone, with dry under eyes and occasional surface dehydration. The Rimmel Stay Matte Primer is a LIFESAVER and really helps me balance out the oily areas of my face. I even wear it on "no make up" days to keep my face from looking slick after moisturizer. I have been through countless tubes of the stuff and always have backups. IMO it is the best product Rimmel makes.

I'm quite oily, but don't get many breakouts. I like keeping my face fairly natural and just wear concealer under my eyes and wherever I happen to need it. Then I pat this over my forehead and cheeks and it controls my oil all day!

When I performed in outdoor theatres I used the stay matte foundation. It didn’t budge no matter how much I sweat. I usually did the theatre in the heat of a Texas summer. I don’t use it for anything else if I’m honest.

YES!! I am so delighted to hear you mention the Spice Edition Magnif'eyes palette. I discovered it recently and I am over the moon about it. The shadows apply so beautifully and the applicator brush is perfectly sized for the crease of my deep set eyes I will have to seek out their Crimson Edition, too. I have some eyeshadow singles that are wonderful, too Rimmel knows what they are doing when it comes to shadows. I miss the original formula of their Lasting Finish liquid foundation. It was a favorite of mine. The new formula just isn't for me. I will check out their Stay Matte foundation based on your recommendation. I do love their Stay Matte powder, especially in the summertime.

They must have reformulated their matt lipsticks because I just bought one and it's freaking phenomenal! So pigmented, creamy, not drying at all, and it smells so yummy and lasts a long time. It's back to the original bullet shape, too. Favorite matt lipstick from the drugstore by far!

I feel like Rimmel really is so underrated! The stay matte powder is my favorite powder (and one of the only powders that I will actually use on my dry skin). I use the transparent shade because I am quite fair, and it is perfect for me. I have repurchased it so many times. As we speak, I am needing to repurchase it again because I have been scraping the sides of the one I currently own! LOL. SIDE NOTE: you always ROCK that wine color when you wear it! 👏🏻👑

I NEVER wear matte finish foundation because I have dry skin. But I decided to give it a go in your recommendation, and I have to say it might be the only matte foundation that doesn't look flat and melts into the skin without emphasizing dry patches. Obviously I make sure to have a good moisturizer and primer before applying, and a damp sponge is a perfect way to apply it. ❤️❤️ Thank You Emily!

I have been cleaning out closets, etc. and found the Emily Edit palette “ the wants” I forget how much I love that palette! On another note I have been using other unused palettes. I always do my eyes last and am finding a lot of fall out from the eye shadows. What a mess! Then I have to reapply my makeup, so I must be doing something wrong!

You can try tapping off your brush before you apply. Some shadows are really soft and kick up a ton of powder (anastasia) and some brushes pick up large amounts of shadow. If you just tap the brush on the edge of the palette it might help get rid of the extra product. Another option would be a tacky eye primer. Hope that helps!

I love the Stay Glossy line. If you want more of a color payoff, try 350 Jewel in the Crown, 340 Captivate Me, 640 All Day Secution. In the Stay Glossy 3D, try 123 Back Row Smooch (pink with blue iridescent) & 113 Popcorn for 2 (peach with green iridescent)-they make for great center lip toppers.

Agreed. The Lasting Finish Breathable isn’t the same as the original, (no longer available) Lasting Finish foundation, but it’s still not bad. I repurchased it recently & one thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t enjoy a more matte finish foundation the way I used to (even though my skin is oily-combo).

If I have a setting spray that I love but I hate the sprayer, I'll spray it on my sponge and apply it that way. It's also nice to do it that way if you want a targeted effect (like a matte t zone or dewy cheeks) It's so annoying when they don't have a good sprayer!!!

I have the Rimmel foundation. Bought it off Ebay. I really like it even tho I am NOT a foundation kind of person. I also bought the bronzer. I have not tried it, but it reminds me of the LA Colors bronzer. Same kind of packaging and everything. I also have 1 or 2 palettes from them as well. Again, havent used them yet. I want the Spice one and the berry pink one you had. Those look beautiful.

Hi Em, I love the Provocalips from Rimmel. It does not bleed and stays on forever!!! My everyday colour is Wish upon a berry or use it as a base for other lipsticks. They have brought out a few new shades but there are only 2-3 that are great. Thanks for the review.

I’d have to say my tops are the stay matte pressed powder. But my number one is the Provacalips Liquid Lipsticks. I have worn one for nearly 48 hours. And that was eating drinking sweating etc... On a Relay For Life all weekend walk run. I had to use one of those Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. I’m so impressed with them. Even better that it has the second part of the tube has the moisture for over it. So it feels nice while you’re wearing it.

I love the Stay Matte makeup primer I have oily skin and it really helps with the blurring of pores and shine. I love using on the days I dont wear makeup and just dot a bit on the forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. I also like the bb cream 9 in 1 for those light coverage days it evens out the skin and givens you light coverage. I compare it to the laura mercier tinted moisturizer

In Australia Flower Beauty is cheaper than Rimmel. The eyeshadow palettes here are $22-25 but I buy them when there is a half off sale.
