@ Yep! Great conversation as well. If anything I felt bad after because I barely let him talk. Just wanted to ensure he knew how much I appreciated his work and approach to all he’s done. On top of it all, I realized a week prior that my cigar-box guitar at home…was made from the box of a La Historia! Ain’t that nuts? Had that thing for the longest and never once noticed. So, I brought it, and he signed it as well with a gold permanent marker to match the box design. All in all, a bucket-list day.

Yeah, I guess I can agree with that assessment and definition of boutique. The one thing is that you have family's that have been around 3 or 4 generations, but they haven't grown beyond a small, boutique business. Nestor plascencia has had that tobacco business for I think three or 4 generations. Sometimes, you have family's that were either irrelevant for a couple decade's or the heir's didn't want to continue the tradition. Luckily, alot of these companies come back through being bought by a larger companies, or some descendant decides to take a company on the brink or old capital and resources to bring it back to relevance! Thus, continuing the tradition we all enjoy!!! Cheer's Mazz!!! Smoking a la aroma de Cuba now! One of my favorites!!!

Excellent video discussion of cigars I’ve tried, cigars resting in storage that I can’t wait to try, and cigars (Tabernacle) that I’m definitely going to purchase and after a nice long rest…I will try. These videos are adding to my enjoyment of cigars because I’m learning more. I can really appreciate a mild cigar now if it has body and character. I don’t need to seek out the strongest cigar to think it will give me a “fuller” experience. Think about the tobacco, taste the smoke, notice the room note, sit still and ponder that specific moment of reality…that’s what it’s about for me.

The LFD Double Ligero is a great cigar. But I would say that the LFD Factory Press is more of a boutique cigar than the DL's. From what I have heard that only three people in the world roll the LFD Andalusian bulls.
@anthonymazzola447011 ай бұрын
LFD as a factory is way smaller than it’s perceived. Considering how many cigars they produce it fits our criteria. Just because it’s been around for a while & it’s well know doesn’t change our opinion.

Mazz I gotta ask...Why do people blow the exhaled smoke on the burnt end of their cigar?
@holtscigars2 ай бұрын
They do that to check how the cigar is burning. Blowing on the foot of the cigar lets you see the ember get red and if it's uneven then you know to correct it!

I normally love your content but that episode was crap! Not once did you list any actual boutique cigars. Every one of those cigars is available in every single cigar shop across the country. Everyone I've ever been in contains those cigars as a staple. Yes they are nice cigars, ones that everyone enjoys having but they're not a boutique cigar. If you were creating a list of boutique wines, they wouldn't be a wine that is available at every liquor store you go to.
