Awwwww I hope you can afford to eat ! Try to get cheap bread and beans and some sort of butter oil and protein, nuts, and meat. If you are so poor that you have an empty stomach filling up on vegetables it’s just gonna make you go to the bathroom too much.

We went here lastnight. The portions were NOT this big. lol We’re on a search for the best boullion. So far our preferred boullion is Chartier. It gets my vote for authenticity, atmosphere and food.

Bouillon Chartier is a heritage site, so the décore will be the most authentic its true. But it has by far the worst food of all the bouillons 😂 it is also incredibly busy for dinner and lunch and you can’t make a reservation - you often have to wait 1h30 to be seated which is not great for people who have a limited time in Paris. Just my thoughts ! ☺️

Great information on "eating in Paris". Contrary to another "Frenchy channel" it is nice to see you and your friend enjoying not only the quality and preparation of the great food - but also displaying the table manners of educated adults. Rather than declaring anything that can be grabbed with the hands "being finger food" and "go for it" like hungry kids at a campfire.

No, you can walk at any restaurant and take only a main course. Many people among the locals do that, it saves half the bill, so... Sometimes at noon they have a "formula", which is a fix price for appetizers + main dish, or main dish + dessert, which can also be interesting.

The fair price point ☺️ I think the vast majority are not at all worth the price so it leaves you feeling scammed. L’ours is a starred restaurant that’s definitely worth the price. But you’ve got to be super careful, they aren’t all worth it
