The phantom+ elite has 5 pins. Theres a thin layer of foam on top of the plate that covers the 2 extra holes but if you use a 5 pin switch, it punches through. Literally the only down side to this keyboard is the steel plate but its the only steel plate ive seen that doesn't sound pingy.

Man, seeing the Tecware Phantom Plus in the number one spot kills me. I bought one a few months ago - was an incredible keyboard until key chatter started plaguing the keyboard and making it almost completely unusable. Not to mention the keys that became flat out unresponsive, and *maaan* I tried everything to fix it: -used compressed air to clean the keys/switches -swapped out the switches/keycaps for new ones -used different cables, as well as different computers (Windows AND Mac) -installed/uninstalled the software for the keyboard (all 4 of them) Once it started it just never stopped. I've seen a lot of people on Reddit/Amazon saying they've been experiencing the EXACT same thing..which is frustrating because I've also seen a lot of people say they've had it for years with no issues; anyway sorry to vent, I'm just still incredibly salty LOL

The thing about the Gamakay K61 Pro that I had an issue with is quality control. I ended up sending the first on back because the RGB was dead in the lower left portion of the board . Those lights stayed red. I had the bumble bee switches in that one. The second the RGB in the bottom isn't the same as the first one, it's not as bright and the cyan color is not the same either. The replacement had the crystal switches (Bumblebees are better feeling imo). The switches started having issues around the 6 month mark and after a year more switches starting having issues, so I had to either press keys harder for them to register or hold them down. I did replace the switches with some WS Morandi switches and it's night and day how much better they are than Gamakay's switches. Still worth the money for a customizable keyboard. Upgrade the switches and caps and it's so much better, maybe even do a tape mod and for sure lube the stabilizers. I still recommend the K61 Pro for anyone who wants to make a custom keyboard on a budget with killer RGB.

@janmokracki7 ай бұрын
Average pay in my country is like $1400 and minimal pay is like $800. Paying for something close to 10% of ones monthly income is nothing close to being budget. And I get the fact that below $30 keyboards will be Chinese stuff but in my mind this is exactly the budget stuff. As I need to put an extra work to make it semi-decent, but it's dirt cheap.
@KYZX_7 ай бұрын
@@janmokracki imma assume you meant 1.4 per month and go on that. Would it not be easier to buy things from your country seeing as the salary is so low? Seeing as it'd be synonymous or at least closer to the level of pay the citizens receive. My fault for not considering your circumstances, but you could see from my point of view why I found your statement to be absurd. The target audience is targeted towards people in the UK, US and Canada. You're not from UK because you said dollars, not pounds, and your not from US cause your salary would be based off tips, and that wouldn't be a specific amount like $800 to $1.4k, if I understood how the system works over there correctly. So why not look for tech reviewers from the same country as you, instead of making a critique of a video that was specifically catered to people that lived in the aforementioned countries. That was why I found your comment to be funny and rude, because you did it without thinking.
