Recommending just a rear sway bar on a BRZ/GR86 is a BIG mistake. Upgrading the front bar is the way to go. Putting a big rear bar on lifts one of the tires, which causes the Torsen diff to suddenly not function and the car to snap oversteer. None of the cars running SCCA nationals have big rear bars.

for different reasons. my hot set up was to "cheat" and use a 2013 rear brz sway bar on my 2017 and run a perrin front bar with another drilled hole for adjustability. for the standard yodel on the road the rear sway bar gives the rear some happiness the stock 2022 brz doesnt have. it was the same in the old GD subarus esp the WRX's alotta guys say first mod is rear sway bar. then if you go further down the mod list you end up going back to a smaller rear cause too stiff and the car acts wonky. but for stock springs and struts? eh its fine.

The rear sway bar would just put the dynamics more in line with the GR86. BRZ has a hollow, small sway bar mounted to the chassis vs a solid bar mounted to the subframe. Front might be more balanced, but it totally depends what you're looking for. Front probably won't shift the dynamic as much just dial it in. Different strokes

@@mikem6792 Have you actually owned a BRZ/86 and tried it back to back with a stock vs. big rear sway bar? I have. As have many others. Actual folks who compete nationally in all sorts of racing series with these cars know better as well. Don't have to take my word on it, plenty if info across the web on the subject.

@@stevemarteganiyup- for time attacks you're probably right, but not everyone is looking to maximize grip on these cars, especially with the oiling issues we're seeing now. I own a 23 brz. I like slipping the tail out. Stiffer sway helps with that. It's a balancing act but this is a really cheap and easy mod that brings the rear end more life to put it closer to the GR86. I think a good balance is a solid(stock is hollow) 18-19mm bar

@@mikem6792 exactly this. I had to buy the BRZ because GR86 are not available anymore in my area, but I will never track the car anyway. I want to have a tail happy experience on a daily basis.

These are some good stuff! Thinking about getting the short throw shifter for my BRZ!

I know that this is completely against the aim of the this video because it's more performance oriented and please forgive me for my stupidity... Can you please do some research and find more about audio upgrades... Adding more sound deadening materials and upgrading the infotainment system and costs

With the rear spacers could I just use camber bolts ? Or would I have to get a lower control arms

For the rear you have to get arms

It's the result of investment corporations buying out these enthusiast driven companies and ruining the passion for the industry. FOR EXAMPLE: Hoonigan.

Spacers, grimmspeed intake elbow and some light decals here. Love the sway bar suggestion and will go cusco. On neptune blue, it might look hot
