I took a 3 hour test for a NJ Transit bus driver position/job, that i failed, but i learned a ton, the location was in Maplewood NJ. In that test, there was a part that was a video, a point of view, from the driver's seat, it had traffic situations, and rude customers, telling you your late, your early. In the video, there were times when the customers were yelling at you, shouting, you could have went or made a light etc. That was in September 2017, i think i failed the test on a left turn and a customer i didn't pick up, because the day before, he wanted me to get off the bus and fight with him at his stop!

I passed the interview but the assessment I failed. They gave me a bus and asked me to drive just after giving me 10 minutes instructions. I will go to bus driving school.

There´s a nice Britsih English word about this - dreadful. This clip shows that you have to be a slave. Work at hours the company sees fit, working on holidays and weekends without any need for own personal life. Being able to be pushed around, to cover for missing shifts and keep quiet that you might have children, and take abuse and verbal or physical from passengers like a doormat. No wonder that nobody wants to be a bus driver anymore, because with underbidding on public lines contracts, the drivers and workshop will get most of the cost cutting. Never was a glamorous job, but these days when companies dream about self driving buses, there´s just no upside to this job. Unless you´re fresh out of jail or have dropped out of secondary school and can´t make burgers cause you´re 45.

You have very negative view, I’m been a driver for 9 years. The job is good for me..
