Personally, I think the current Minotaur fits the Chaos Dwarf aesthetic pretty well already. I suppose we'll see!

Sounds like Iron Hard Skin got a buff. Block and Thick Skull with unmodifiable AV10+ means Chorfs are going to be the most durable positionals in the game.

Not only that one Chaos Dwarf could tie up any MB+1 and MB+2 like Morg cause his MB+2 means nothing on the Armor still effects injury but man that could be very frustrating....!!!!!

And this is why I expect only 0-4 CD Blockers, and 0-2 Fire Smiths, who might lose Block, so the starting power of Chorfs goes down. What is most important to me is the rules that the Bull Centaurs will have. If they get to 2+ Break Tackle again, they are tier 1. But I have a sneaky feeling that they will be toned down as a whole as their new toys will increase the cost of the starting roster. Losing Tackle of the CDB's is going to be good news for stunties, Zon's and Elves in tournaments. Because, on which player are you ever putting Tackle? They need more core skills, like Guard on CDB's, Block on Centaurs, Wrestle, DP and Sure Hands on the Hobo's. I already need 9 skills and you only get 6 in tier 1.

I see the fire Breath for you to use aganist a Str 4 guy 50/50 chance to effect him. No need for a 2 die UP block or against a Blodger with only 1 and 6 chance to knock him with block die you have the same with the breath to knock down and and armor roll but with the breath you have 1/3 to just put him prone. And if he is caring the ball that much better. Or you are worried about some one breaking free to move to a better postion to set up a late score. I also see if the guy with the ball is next to a Guard guy and it would be a 2 die up blitz you could use the breath to see if you can knock him down.

There might be a possibility that we might get a new Minotaur mini. I noticed since December 2023 (when I bought the made to order Mutated Minotaur), that the Minotaur mini has been temporarily out of stock on the webpage. It feels like the same thing with the Rat Ogre, when they phased out the first model of it, and came out with a new one, they could be doing the same thing with the Minotaur, if it has been out of stock (to me anyways) for over 8 months.

YEA been waiting for Hthark THe UNSTOPPABLE a Bull Centuar with Str 5. I just hope he keep his Skills from 2016. Block, Break Tackle,Juggernaut, Sprint, Sure Feet and THick Skull. Which means he can Dodge to an open Square on a 2+ since he Str 5 YEA. I just Wonder what his Cost will be and what Special Power they give him. I bet 250-270 Range.

Do note that what Ben says about taking Leader for a cheap reroll might not be possible. The current ToL CD roster has NO Passing access, not even as secondaries. I have a hard time seeing either the Sneaky Stabbas or the Flamespitters getting P access. Maybe they will? But it is entirely possible the team cannot take Leader on anyone.

HOBGoblins have always been Str 3 Since 2nd Edition. That 30 years Same stat line.

I can't see them losing World Edge. If there is a change, I would guess them being locked to Favoured of Undivided rather than getting to choose their Favoured of. Possibly with one of the new stars being specific to Undivided like Spleenripper is specific to Favoured of Khorne.

Hop8ng we get to keep the Hakflem-Scrappa-Grombrindal dream team. Normally they wouldn't get along but Chaos Dwarfs are such great hosts

shadowing is cool in theory, and pap in reality. Maybe if its really cheap it might be ok.

Well rerolls used to be 50k and are now 70k so maybe a reduction there to 60k to offset potential increase in player costs

You maybe Right. We don't know the cost any of them Could change up or down. But I bet the Hobgoblin linemen will stay the same. Now the real question is What Skill access they will get. Will the Stabing Hobgoblins get access to A as a Primary. Or will the Fire breath get access to P as a Secondary. As of right now they are the only team without access to PAssing skill on any of there players.

Wrt #4 - Cost - interestingly Dark Elf Assasins are 15k more than the Linemen with Shadowing & Stab skills. So if Hobgoblins stay 40k I suspect the Sneaky Stabbers will be 65k? 🤔

Do you think this roster is better or worse overall? I think that losing mass tackles is definitely a nerf, and gaining the iron skin mutation isn't as important because claw has been nerfed and we probably won't see as many claw + po + mb combo as in the past. The boost against mighty blow is nice though.

I think the Roster is the Same against most teams. If we are talking about non DODgeing Teams. But against teams that Start with Dodge like Amazon and all the Stunties teams except Gnomes they got worst since they lost tackle. Which means it will be harder for the line Dwarves to get SPP.

I am not a fan of the changes at all.. Chorfs are normally ranked somewhere between 11-20 among the races in the monthly meta, so I would argue they are not a strong team at the moment. They are struggling to play against bashy and hybrid teams due to lack of strength and with the tackle taken away, they now cannot even compete with the usual top 5 teams either: underworld, amazon, 2x elven teams, etc.. They reduced the blockers from 6 players to 4, which furthermore lowers the attractions of this new reworked team. The "breathe fire" special ability sucks. It is worse than stab as it can cause turnover and it only breaks armour on a 6+. Its use is very niche and I would argue that a 1die block is much better than this or stab for that matter as it performs much better on both counts: does not cause turnover and it causes armour break way better than a 6+. The positional hobgoblin also sucks in my opinion, especially if they cost 20k more. Shadowing is absolutely not useful and stab is meh. No player takes these skills on level-ups and that tells everything you need to know about these skills. I would not take these positionals even if they only cost 10k more. From what I see, if the centaurs are not buffed from average movement of 6 to lightning fast 8-9 movement speed, this team will go further down the race ladder, possibly going out of the top 20. Never really understood how almost everyone outruns a horse with 4 legs. With the break tackle nerf, based bulls cannot do much and their speed is just average (6) right now.

Well NOBODY can Take Stabb it a Trait. On Shadowing your right it the worst skill in the General. Well we will have to see about the Cost and What Access they have to Skills. What if M becomes a Primary for the Blockers? What if the RR cost comes down from 70k to 60k?
