My brand new TNGA Japan-built 2020 Corolla SE sedan 6-MT (built in late 2019, pre-Covid) didn't even last 2 years & 10K miles before it needed towing on multiple occasions due to various mechanical/electronics failures. So, roll the dice no matter what you buy.

So you say you wouldn’t buy a new one…but I say, you’d be making a mistake. That 1.5 turbo engine is all I ever needed, and I am no slouch. The Honda Accord is an excellent car. So, please, rethink your buying strategies.

@@paulheany4680 the 1.5 has problems with oil dilution, which Honda hasn't solved yet. Does everyone that buys one have that problem? No, but that doesn't mean it's a reliable engine. I'll pass.
