Trewethett farm Cornwall (Caravan and Motorhome club site) just up the coast from Tintagel Cornwall, great views out over the sea and cliff top walks to Tintagel and Boscastle. Or in Scotland there’s Rosemarie (Camping and Caravan club site) on the east coast, it’s possible to see Dolphins out in the bay. We didn’t see any when we were there, but from our pitch right on the bank above the beach we had a fantastic view. Then on the west coast in Scotland there’s Ardmair point just along from Ullapool. Again a pitch right on the bank above the beach (about a four foot drop) but fantastic views and maybe some Dolphins again not when we were there. We’ll be going back to these three, and on the lookout for more like them.

Some great recommendations. I was going to mention Poppit Sands at Cardigan in Wales then remembered we drove the campervan to a lovely dog friendly self catering cottage and parked the van on the drive for a week! I don’t suppose that counts 😳 Beadnell Bay in Northumberland is a lovely site. You can’t see the beach from the site but you are very near and we loved it there. Thanks for another entertaining video.

Would that be the Camping and Caravanning Site, Sylvia? I'm adding all the suggests to our list of places to go

@@HermanHitstheRoad Yes it is. You can walk along the beach and over the golf course to Seahouses, where you can take a boat to the Farne Islands. Mind the footpath over the golf course has a sign that says, if you hear someone shout fore, cover your head, look at the ground and count to ten 😳😂 It’s also very near Bamburgh and that’s a fantastic location the castle is unbelievable. Alnwick and Warkworth Castles are also nearby. Northumberland is amazing 😊I now see that Bob Earnshaw has recommended it! It must be good 😁

Hi Ads and Zoe. Great choice of sites/locations. Not all would work for us given our current set-up, but can't argue with the terrific locations and views. Made notes in case we ever change back to a m/home ! Thanks for these. Cheers. George and Trish. 😊

Great video guys. Although Scotland to me is all about the "wild camping" parkups, it does score heavily in my top 5. 1. Fidden Farm on Mull - views of Iona, crystal clear water like the Caribbean. Probably best located campsite in UK 2. Trewethett Farm nr Boscastle, Cornwall. Just stunning although the area local roads are a cjhallenge 3. Camping Des Abers, Landeda, Brittany. Stunning location. Very friendly if slightly Christian German thing going on 4. Bunree nr Fort William, Great views of loch and very well located for touring Glen Coe, Mallaig and Islands, Loch Ness and Oban. 5. Camping Acque Dulce, Levanto, Italy. Great location with quick trains into Cinque Terre. Levanto is lovely town. Campsite OK but typical small Italian plots. Honourable mention to Meathrop Fell in Grange over Sands (great site on coast but to me is more about proximity to Southern Lakes and Cartmel).

Fantastic selection of sites, we like to choose sites for the places they are in rather than what facilities they have too. Two of my favourites are Whitby Holiday Park - choose the sea view pitches, they are right on the cliff top overlooking the sea, absolutely spectacular. There is a coastal walk into Whitby which leads straight to the Abbey and a very good local brewery where you can while away a little time with good beer and pizza. The other site we love is called Glororum which is a one mile walk from Bamburgh Castle. The beach there is amazing - sandy and very long and wide. The facilities at Glororum were very good as an added bonus 🙂

Hi I'm Leo from the Netherlands. I've been following your blogs for a while. We would also like to take a tour of South England with our hymer. I especially enjoy listening. You speak so clearly that I can brush up on my English language. I apologize for the grammar mistakes. Have fun and may there be many more informative videos to follow. I also found the rust research under the camper very interesting. Very recognizable. Leo en Ruth Sikkenga Kerkrade Netherlands

I haven't seen that email yet, need to go looking through my junk folder... Site fees are expensive, I stay a member as they make it easy to take the van and a pup tent so I can take my son away with me occasionally and I love the CL sites for when it's me and Husband in the van - BUT for the club sites, prices are getting out of control, some good reductions are needed to allow for not using electricity and maybe more enforcement of the rules about dogs as the numbers not under control or left yapping all day are getting worse.
