My husband likes malt vinegar on fish. I was raised eating Miracle Whip too Cathy! I like Dukes or any mayo as well. You and Neighbor Dan need to try some of the different foods you mentioned on a video. That would be fun!

Sriracha or a homemade salsa is my number one then mayo (but i don’t eat it like that and on sandwiches ill drop some sriracha on it) before spreading on sandwich ketchup something i never buy or really use I agree with Jim Nabor Dan on the hotdogs tho. Only mustard and onions NO KETCHUP

I used to mix ketchup and Miracle Whip and put it on my hot dogs. I'd also put that on salad (similar to Thousand Island, but without the relish). Now I like ketchup and onions on my hot dogs.

Yes mayo on a hot dog with ketchup and sweet relish is my favorite. #2 is mustard and onions # 3 chili mustard and onions # 4 sauerkraut and mustard.

I have tried mayo and ketchup on a hot dog. It's good think it is a regional thing. But I mostly use regular mustard only or nothing. 1, dukes mayo 2. Mustard 3 horseradish sauce 4. Chick fil a sauce 5 tarter sauce. Dan is right malt vinegar on fried cod is good I used to get those packets from long John silvers to put on the fish.

Late to comment but... I believe Dan may have been thinking about mango chutney when he was saying that A1 had fruit in it... though I do see raisin paste in there. Now, mayo goes with lunch meat and salad sandwiches. Also, chicken fillet sandwiches and burgers. Ketchup only on burgers (with mayo). Mustard on hot dogs and deli sandwiches like pastrami and corned beef (always on rye bread). Tartar sauce for anything fish. A1 and bbq sauce for meats and wings. Anything other than mustard for French fry dipping... mayo preferred.

I'm miracle whip and Duke's mayo lover .. sometimes it's just the whip...for all salad's /sandwich 's and some times I half and half them together which is the best of both worlds...😂 You should try that.

I'm a Miracle Whip person. I like mayo but by itself on a sandwich I think its bland. I usually add mustard if I have mayo on a sandwich. I Iike mayo for tuna salad. When I make deviled eggs I use half mayo/half miracle whip. 😊

All of dans favorites have like one application! They are unitaskers… mayo is multipurpose and has a million applications… I don’t like ranch and can live without tartar sauce too… as you can just use Mayo for either… lol. Miracle whip is great for salads… tuna, chicken, egg etc.. also for baking!

Hot dogs 3 ways. Regular hot dog boiled or nuked, ketchup, mustard, onion and sweet relish. If I make it a chili dog then it's ketchup, mayo, onion and dill pickle slices. If it's a grilled dog then it's just like the chili dog minus the chili.

@@2centchick Doesn't have to be but then it isn't a squiggle. Squiggle is a highly technical term for your mayo starts to the right and goes left then right then left on down. Then the mustard starts left and goes right and left and right on down. Just easier to name it a squiggle. LOL

My ears certainly perked up when I heard Dan say that he puts Heinz 57 on pork. I like to experiment with condiments as there are so many and in many cases it is an inexpensive way to elevate something in some way. I buy steak sauces but I don't really use them with steak normally as I want to taste the steak. I had Heinz 57 and I don't know if I tried it on steak, but I started putting it on pork chops while I had it around. Your regular grocery store pork isn't really going to be the greatest and I usually use adobo seasoning or creole seasoning, but other than that Heinz 57 is a decent choice. It is one of the few situations I might not evangelize the use of Heinz Chili sauce. I used to work at a gas station that had us cutting up fresh tomato slices for some reason. Each shift we were allowed one hot dog. There were only so many condiments and things get boring. So you do the ketchup, mustard and relish. You try the nacho cheese and/or the chili sauce. I am not sure if the tomatoes were intended for the hot dogs, or the mayonnaise packets. I can't think of anything else they would have been for. But, I saw one of my coworkers eating a hot dog with mayonnaise and tomato slices. I tried it and it was an interesting combination. That was a long time ago. Although I did try it again recently for old times sake. The thing with condiments and hot dogs is that hot dogs are so far from their origins. If Austrians knew what we call Vienna sausages, they would have to have their government pass some sort of chastising document against us out of principle. There is so much difference in local customs, although a weird history food video about hot dogs listed off most regional hot dogs as some kind of chili dog. But there are so many differences and different companies producing products regionally and nationally that it merits variation. If you are eating a Vienna Beef hot dog it should be on a poppy seed bun and dragged through the garden because that is what a Chicago hot dog is. If you are eating a plain old Oscar Meyer or some other standard grocery store fair then you are probably fine using ketchup, mustard, and relish. Higher-quality sausages don't necessarily need so many condiments, but regional specialties are regional specialties. Even if those regional specialties are going to be a chili dog 80% of the time. It is hard to argue about what sausage you got in there when you are just tasting chili, cheese, and onions.

It's funny how depending on where you live and your nationality(but not always) determines what your preferences are in regards to condiments. In general, it comes down to what type of food you're eating(obviously!). I'm more of something spicy(as in hot!) to wake the senses up.

A1, hot sauce, horseradish, vinegar are disgusting to me. LOL I am sorry Dan. Cocktail sauce is nasty to me too. I do love that we all have different opinions and loves and hates - it is what makes life fun! Dan likes it spicy is what he is saying. There were some good unique ones in the ones that people sent (Polynesian, sweet&sour, etc, plus sweet thai chili sauce is awesome as is hoisin and also plum sauce for Chinese foods). For the regulars, mayo, ketchup, Russian or Thousand Island, tartar sauce are good. I love Cuban mojo too! I like the sweet Poblano if I am eating (real) Mexican at all.
