Cacao flesh around the seeds tastes like when you buy a tangerine but it's a little bland and not very sweet. It's the closest I can describe it. Rolinia mucosa is like sugar apple but they can get a little slimy I personally prefer sugar apple but is a tasty fruit. Cupuaçu is very acid to eat as it is. But is absolutely delicious in juices and ice-cream.

They're very common in Brazil and not only they're delicious but all have high nutritional values. Açaí and guaraná are only the ones that made it out into the "mainstream" but there are hundreds of wonderful fruits that people in other countries never heard of.

Banana passionfruit is very invasive where I live. It grows all along the side of the roads by the sea. Lots of people don't eat it, but I do. When there's too much to eat you grab it by it's tail and throw it as high in the air as you can and watch it explode on the road.
