Happy Halloween! Also the creepiest Unexplained mystery for me is in Bug Fables, when you enter the final area of the game, you find the Titan that lives there going by the name Deadlander Omega, but we don’t know a lot about it.
@kaistephens2694Ай бұрын
Apparently, the other Deadlanders (enemies that are on par with CHAPTER BOSSES in terms of strength) are scared of it. SCARED. of Omega. That's probably the most terrifying thing about it.
@SlapChopMyShamWowАй бұрын
The whole final area in Bug Fables (won’t go into it too much cause spoilers for an excellent game that everyone should play so we get a sequel) is pretty disturbing, especially when you read the lore books about it

I did not know that Sims 2 for the Nintendo DS of all things went so hard... but I have no choice but to appreciate it, now that I do know.

It's amazing how back in the days before portable systems could more or less have a similar version of major releases they often ended up getting a very different port or an entirely original beast altogether. As for unsolved mysteries, you could always look at the statue of liberty parody found in Grand Theft Auto IV which if entered contains a large beating heart.
@Betsy7CatАй бұрын
Petz Catz/Dogz 2 is an interesting example of this. On DS, purely a simulation game much like the first on the same system. On the Wii? Absolutely completely different genre; it’s an adventure game.
@keynanmartinezАй бұрын
Happy Halloween! Also you should do an opposite of this list on video game Mysteries that should of stayed being a mystery.

Fuck i forgot about that sims 2 ds port, i played that all the time as a kid but i never thought much of it till you brought it back up. I don't think i could read well at the time so it completely flew over my head about killing the mayor. It's fucking nuts the finale is you dressing up as ratman and i think beating the shit out of the robo-gorilla or some super alien? It's been ages.

The animal crossing one definitely caught me off guard the most, not because it's the creepiest or anything, but because I actually played it, and talked to many other people who played it, and yet this is the first time I'm hearing about it.

Happy Halloween Rabbidluigi. I'm glad you're back for a little bit at least.

The WoW one has always been really creepy for me for years. Another sort of mystery i really like is "Q" from SF3 Third Strike, the whole character is just mysterious, the only thing that is kind of related to him is "G" from SF5, but still to this day we don't know anything about Q
@rpgfan1187Ай бұрын
One of the creepiest unsolved mysteries for me is the Mechanical Cherub from Thief II: The Metal Age. You encounter it twice in the game -- once in Life of the Party and again in Sabotage at Soulforge -- and both times it's unnerving without posing any threat. The Cherub is invulnerable but cannot hurt Garrett and will either follow him around, pointing at him accusingly, or attempt to warn the Servants (who ignore it). Nothing in the game makes any mention of the Mechanical Cherub, whatsoever, but it's very disturbing to find this bizarre automaton built in the size and shape of a child. Some have speculated that the Cherub feeds into Karras' God Complex and represents the Adam of the New Eden he intends to create, while others think it might serve as a surrogate son for the misanthropic Karras. 24 years later, we still don't know what the Cherub is or why it's there, and we'll probably never find out.

Don't forget the mystery of RA9, the source of deviancy - consciousness and self awareness in androids - in "Detroit: Become Human". Is it its own entity or deity? Is it a virus? An intentional piece of programming? Maybe the next stage in evolution for artificial intelligence? Until it's fully explained (no, not it's not the human player, the in-game lore says RA9 is the first ANDROID to awaken) we're left to wonder and fear what could be lurking within our own technology.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention Zelda’s Song of Storms from OoT. Or where the Mask from Majora’s Mask came from…if it is that Demon Minion from Skyward Sword being a Background arsehole….it would fit. G-Man…forgot how creepy he was. When Half-Life 3 comes out the day after the Apocalypse maybe we’ll learn his story. Good list and now I want to dig out my DS and find a copy of that Sims game to dig into that thread….
