Its like saying you need not study human anatomy to become a doctor. Of course you have to know OS, Coding, Networking and computer science.

I think he was talking about depth... introductory courses on information theory, OS & networking I'd say would suffice which wouldn't take more than a month to complete... as for coding & computer science obviously that's needed in much more depth... we're talking about entry level job roles here, you can always go deep in any particular domain in depth once you get that job
