I use to use dimo for both offence and defense. Nothing like being on the receiving end of a swarm of 50-100 dimo's going for your dino's.

I have a tone of dimorphs in my base, they have saved me from many raids. Since their hitboxes are so small they’re super annoying to hit. I keep them on agressive and they deal a fair bit of damage to armour and dinos

While they can kill the pegomastax, those things have ungodly amounts of health, also you should have mentioned that the hyenadon also as armor unlike the rest of the dinos on the list, meaning their even harder to kill

I just use a wide open space with kentros, dimorphs and poison/fire wyverns on turret mode, kentros purely for the tames, (can heal quickly with the sweet cakes), dimorphs purely for players and the wyverns breath ignores the armour of both, couple that with building in a cave for choke points and with a teleporter network so you can attack from behind and you can come as prepared as you like, you aren't getting anywhere

dimorphodon over vulture. Ive used vultures before, but the problem with them is that they are slower than the dimorph and they get hit with shotguns much easier

I was building in a cave and had 35 Vultures and the enemies with their griffins were just jumping in. They were killed in seconds and i mean for real... they are so easy to tame and so strong! Their only problem is that they can easily be drawn away and killed by wyverns or flamethrowers.

I was a solo player on a pvp server. I filled my fake inner walls with about 40 microraptors on aggressive with carno and thyla on the only entrance against a cliff wall. Many times they offline raided my base and many times they lost the battle trying to raid. Did you leave this one off the list because they are so good you prefer the people you raid not to use them? :D One guy died multiple times even losing their high level lightning wyvern....his things were spread out in multiple Carno lol. Microraptors all points into melee and movement speed knocking them off their dino over and over until dead then finishing off dino left behind.

Can you like, do another starter Dino one cause like, I can't tame 80% of them at lvl 36 All that I've tamed is 2 Dilophosaurus' 2 Carboneymys (however it's spelt) About 20 dodos (only about three made it to base) And I'll tell you, I CANNOT tame a raptor, my old base was taken over by a raptor, an Allo, and a Titanoboa.... I had to make a new base

Issue is, it’s rare people walk into your base, once they get it open they gonna bring big ass tames to swipe out everything they can, e.g reapers and just spin everything dead inside, then they enter, not saying inner dinos are useless, they’ve saved mine and cjs base a few times. But they might not be as good as you would hope to think

Hyaenidons packs aren't a push over if you got them well bred with good quality meat packs (yes their meat packs actually give them armor) then they will do some serious damage to rexes and other large tames. Also vultures and dimorph swarms can also wreck large tames and their riders as well (xOneWingx came up with a brilliant design for a "dimorphoturret" that houses flocks of aggressive dimorphodons that return to the safety of the structure each time they are finished doing the dirty work).

@@atlanticsquib7232 You obviously have never even toyed with a super swarm or a super pack of dimorphs, vultures, or hyaenidons. Casualties will be high yes but with a large number of well bred dinos even a giga can fall. Dimorphs and vultures can be especially deadly because they can have their movement speed leveled up as well as their other stats so they can easily close the distance on a giga rider before they can munch everything. Without a rider a giga is easy pickings.

The problem is once a wall is blown all these dinos can be lead outside, then the player can come back easily and bola+kill the pego in it's way out to take back it's stuff so it's not really useful :/ with enough c4 I raid that base

Hey pumpkin, when you're using dinos to protect your base, you tie them to a tanker maxed in hp, turtle, steggo, doedic, anky, pig, something small with a good saddle and a shit ton of hp. You leave the tanker on passive and you have all the other dinos follow it on high, then you set all the ones following it for base defense to Follow - High Target range - med or high Stance - Agressive, also ignore group whistles so you don't put it on passive accidentally. they run out when anything gets close enough, kill it and run back to their tether, it's really hard to pull them out of range of that follow without picking them and throwing them somewhere else. I use wolves, sabertooths, carnos, dire bears, dimorphs, microraptors, thylas, megatheriums, gigantipecithous(shrek), velos, rexs, teras, vultures, pigs, and megalerocus as aggressive base defense.

Snake has less torpor per hit, lower dps, an enormous hit box, and you can only for a couple each in your important base rooms. Troodon is small, agile, can sense them coming, and it's actually 10% stronger at night.

The point of this list is dinos for the INSIDE of your base. Being a "big ass snake" is bad. And it's about what works for PVP, not what's cool. Also, snakes are harder to tame. To train a Troodon, just take a parasaur, put it on passive, and let the Troodon kill it. To take a snake, you need multiple fertilized eggs unless you don't care about it being low level, and you need to sneak up and put them down for it without being seen. If you are seen, it attacks and you wasted that effort.

Wait, if the Pegomastax is in your base and we are assuming that the person has destroyed all your turrets, they could literally just kill the Pego and take their stuff back. Even if they snuck it ur base a few pump shotgun blasts would kill em. Best defense is an auto turret inside a room.
