So glad to hear it! Don’t be shy…we meet people who travel solo all the time at viva and it’s a great way to meet people…especially if you don’t have a lot of people in your life who already love that kind of stuff! We will see you there next year we hope!

We’re from the UK and love coming over for Viva! Lots of stories but my favourite must be last time we went in 2022. Went to Frankie’s in the afternoon on the Sunday, had planned to be back at the hotel for a band around 7pm, totally missed this and stayed in Frankie’s too long. Managed (somehow) to get Uber back to the Orleans, went drunk shopping with my friend Mel at the vendors, saw the last of the bands of the weekend which was great, fangirled at Big Sandy walking past me, then finished the night strolling and drunk teaching my friend to stroll - cue much hilarity 😂 great times! Woke up in the morning to nice surprise of Lux de Ville handbag and wallet that I couldn’t remember buying - it was like Christmas 😂 Can’t wait for this year! Cool video 👍🏻 I totally learned the hard way with the shoes at the car show

Do you think it’s worth it to go if the Orleans is all booked up? I’ve really wanted to go with my boyfriend for a couple years now, we are from Ohio so trying to plan as much as possible 😅

Totally still worth it! We’ve only managed to book the orleans once in the 7 years we’ve been going. And while it is definitely more convenient to stay in the orleans, we’ve had an amazing time wherever we stayed. If you can book Gold Coast, that’s probably the most popular hotel to stay at other than The Orleans…so even though you have to drive to the orleans, the hotel is still filled with Viva people so you still have that feel of being in another time. We also stayed at the Rio one year and there were still some viva people but not as many. But even that year we enjoyed so much! Hope that helps :)

I'm in the same boat. My brother and I are going for the first time but the Orleans is booked. It looks like the Gold Coast is the best option because of the shuttle. My only worry is dressing up to go dancing and not being able to change or anything for the rest of the night. Does The Orleans offer like a locker or somewhere I could store a change of clothes/shoes without having to go back to the Gold Coast and THEN back again to The Orleans. Weird question I know lol.

@@amykelly23 I’m fairly certain the orleans doesn’t do anything like that. That is def one of the advantages of being at the orleans over the Gold Coast. In the past I just always brought a pair of flats with me to change into if we weren’t staying at the Orleans. But otherwise you do just have to do the back and forth game…which is annoying but a lot of people do it!

@TheDoomLagoon Good to know up front. We've never been and are so excited about attending. There are a few rooms still at the Orleans but they're more expensive. We're trying to figure out the best course. Any other advice for attending? Do we need to sign up for events or just show up with our wristband? Thank u so much!

Story time. When it was at the Gold Coast there used to be a kitty pool in the car show area that they would fill with different substances every year for people to wrestle in. People with drag race on the roof along with an absurd amount of fights and sheer debauchery. The roof was where the party was at. I still have vivid memories of people stripping into their underwear to wrestle in a combination of green Ford, personal lubricant, baked beans and spaghetti with sauce. There was a line of people waiting to wrestle.
