Steve Crocker there’s no consideration to make because he doesn’t do the open 400m and his 20.31 200m pr isn’t special. He was a 20 by the time he graduated high school, if his times were put up against his age group (college freshmen and sophomores) he’d be just another fish in the pond.
@decarloterry44984 жыл бұрын
That is not correct if so he wouldn't have been able to run at any UIL events. Plus if he were 20 he would not have been able to run in the UNDER 20 division last summer. Look the boy is just FAST. I cant lie I myself was in denial that a white boy could run that fast in HS. That's NOT racist. Its stereotyping him. I had NO hate towards him. But it happened. Just like Tiger Woods dominated a predominantly white sport. And Truth be told, he is the OVERALL the greatest HS track star ever. Stats dont lie.

This is a less than perfect list, the most obvious omission is Trayvon Bromell. With that said, if you lined up everyone on your list including Bromell, they would lose to Houston McTear. Unfortunately most of McTear's high school races where 100 yards, on dirt and without FAT, but even with conversion he would be the best. For perspective, at age 18 he was arguably the fastest man in the world. McTear's H.S. hand timed 9.0 100y converts to 9.738 in meters.

Mis-leading title for this video. This video is about the performance of US high school students. Another problem with this video is that the producer has failed to indicate the wind speed for EACH race- the times run by athletes are only CREDITABLE when it is done within the legal speed limit. Finally, commentators need to stop predicting the future success of junior athlete based on their performance at the junior level. Success at the junior level DOES NOT directly translate into success at the senior level. At the age of 18 in 2012 this caucasian Adam Gemili, representing Britian set a new world junior record of 10.05 for the 100m. What has he accomplished since then ???? He Adam Gemili is not even among the top 5 sprinter for the 100m ?
