@antarfodoh it would be a profitable idea. just like ship upgrades add the ability to use the shuttle bay in combat basically. maby not larger craft but shuttle class and maby not cross faction just something to spend 300 zen on.

The Lexington is always fun to play because it can now perform well in almost any role with various builds (besides being just a gorgeous and tough ship). I currently run a hybrid pet summoner/semicarrier/Ba'ul Antiproton FAW tank build and it rules effortlessly in practically any kind of content. It has 2 full fighter squadrons (one with type 7s for debuffing) thanks to Repurposed Cargo Bay Hangars trait, can summon up to 6 additional Odyssey pets to draw aggro and absolutely rips with the FAW Ba'ul Antiproton 3 piece refraction, enhanced by the new Alliance 3 piece set. Although my favorite by far is the Typhon with a full plasma turret CSV tank build. With the Typhon's console's +30% Turret damage boost and Complex Plasma Fires trait even the relatively low DPS turrets are at least as effective as any single beam FAW build and can grind down even the sturdiest dreadnoughts over time with its boosted plasma DOT. And thanks to the debuffs from the type7s, that is made even more effective, while the ship can tank almost any damage no problem, especially in Fortress Mode. Makes the game almost too easy. Give the Typhon with the Type7 pets from the Ahwahnee to any new toon and you'll be leveling with absolute ease. Best carrier in the game currently period! As for pilot escorts, nothing beats the Legendary Jem'Hadar Attack Ship still. Put a CSV build on it and it'll perform whilst being fun to fly due to its nimbleness and pilot maneuvers. ZOOM ZOOM! Money well spent imho.

I've had the game since launch, and pop back on again every few years when I'm in a Star Trek mood. I've been playing regularly for the past month and a half, longer than I've ever stuck with it before, and definitely the only mmo I've ever sunk this much time and effort into. I've never been super good at all the mechanics or going for max dps or anything but have definitely gotten a lot better recently thanks largely in part to your videos. The only legendary I have is the Mirror Galaxy Dreadnaught when it went on sale a week or so ago but haven't played with it much, but I have to say after trying a ton of ships out, my favorites to play have definitely been the Excelsior II, Bozeman/Fleet Soyuz, and as of recently the Mirror Warship Constitution. I've always mained as the T6 regular ol' Excelsior just because damn that ship has always been my favorite design aesthetically, hands down, but I've been having a lot more fun playing some others recently. But anyways, love your videos, sub'd.

I don't think I have an absolute favorite ship, I just like to jump around and have fun with all of them. Though right now, the most fun I've been having is with the Protostar. Being able to fly around fast enough to finish the entire tour the galaxy mission in under 6 minutes is a blast.

@EricLidiak Oh yeah, the Lexington is definitely quick. But the protowarp from the Protostar is a huge game changer for tour the galaxy. With the right traits and equipment, you can zoom around in protowarp like you were in normal space.

I'm just gonna use this video an excuse to talk about my Sagan again ☺️ I've run with her almost non-stop for over a year, not just because I love her design and significance as a command and exploration cruiser, but because her BOff seating is so well laid out for the most part. The Command/Temporal combo feels very versatile, with the Uncon triggers alongside Suppression Barrage and Concentrate Firepower buffing my Torpedoes and spread damage while Overload can focus on the single bigger targets. It's great for survivability too, and the Inspiration mechanic feels very apropos for Starfleet (and my main toon from a lore perspective) while still being very practical and useful. It feels like the crew really saying "let's push through this impossible situation and get this done together" and it feels so...uplifting I guess? Especially in the context of young officers serving on an exploration vessel named after such a prominent voice in astrophysics, extraterrestrial communication, science fiction AND science communication to the wider world. She just gives me so much joy and it's always so nice after a long day to just fly around in her and save the day and make alliances and friends and explore the universe and just "be". I could talk about her all day, but while the Odyssey is the "best" ship in STO, the Sagan will always be my favorite 🥰

I still don't own the Sagan. It was on my list for a bit, but when the Maelstrom torp released 5/3 became the meta for torp builds again and Sagan went way down on my list of priorities. I'll have the Fanhome model of it in December, though.

I also have gotten used to broadsiding and it suits my playstyle well, so I don't mind the 4/4. But can she run a Fed theme build on Advanced or Elites with a good team? Oh absolutely ☺️

The Vor’ral Support Battle Cruiser is in my top 3. She’s an old girl, but flying around a Vor’cha kitted out with science and torpedo spreads makes her one of my best girls.

I think instead of the Hydra I like the Achillies, and instead of the Premonition I prefer the Typhoon. Oh and for the most recent Campaign I got the Constitution III instead of the World Razor and I love those 'Narrow Angle' Phaser beams (that you don't have to pay for in the Dillithium Store). So, yeah, the Connie III is my favorite ship atm, too bad I'll probably never have more than the one.

Good vid. Nice to see the ships in action rather than just a slideshow. I have 4 of these ships and they are really fun to fly. Lexington was my 2nd T6 ship purchase and I used it exclusively for ages. Hydra is currently my highest DPS run. Premonition is an ok ship as you said, it’s more for the nostalgia from Armada. Leg Akira is great as a CSV or Torp boat. Will be getting the Razor in the future

Kudos to you for choosing ships you enjoy rather than ships that are meta. Regarding your choices: Yorktown is the best town. My favorite Odyssey as well. Hesta is the besta Razer-let’s see what this galaxy class star ship can do Premonition-never played armada but still a nice ship Akira-love the scene from first contact when the akira shoots torps at the cube. One of my current favourites is the new Romulan Dyson Science Destroyer. I built it as a polaron/proton DEW using the proton rewards we've been getting. It's no DPS monster, but it holds its own and is just fun to fly.

Terran hydra is so good, the skill applies to jem hadar wing-men, registering them as frigates and buffing them and all fightersquadrones with +40% and the design is so very aggressive❤ with great weapons-slots. But that the Premonition is in the game made me very nostalgic.

I'm glad you mentioned the Theseus. It is my favorite ship to fly. The seating and weapons layout and all as well as it unique look make it fun to fly. I do see your point though, as the Lexington and Avenger do feel similar. Still, the Theseus gets my vote for top five for sure. It has a FAW build right now and its a blast!

So loved seeing the Hyrda come in on this list. I don't have the ship but I have many other Prometheus builds. No matter what I fly I always find myself coming back to the Prometheus because its just fun. MVAM for the win even if its not that great of a console I love it.

The MW Donnie was on my previous Top 5 Faves list. I still like it a lot, and I love Flight Deck Carriers, but I wish we had more options for them. Still holding out hope for Odyssey Flight Deck Carrier.

I haven't tried to make a torpedo boat out of the legendary Akira yet but I absolutely loved the ship. Not only for its powerful maelstrom torpedos (Of which I was a victim of from one of my friends using them in our late night PvP matches) But for the Kodai command fighters. Having grown up playing Star Trek Shattered Universe, I was so happy to see the imperial wraiths make an appearance, only then to find out that they've existed before the game as Kodai Fighters. I've also become super interested in the TMP/WoK and Lost Era aesthetic, so much so I bought a Nova class variant with my Heritage Bundle ship coupon and putting the revamped aurora skin on it!

I'm currently loving the NX Refit as a very speedy phaser build.. and the Connie III is a rather nice all-rounder. Also, the Vovon Carrier plays the Dreadnought role quite nicely. 😁

Having just recently acquired the 10th Anniversary Bundle on sale, I have found I like the Constitution class Temporal Flight Carrier. Put Temporal Boffs in the Temporal positions. Just find it fun, durable as I approach finally finishing off the episode missions.

I love the Lexington. I have phaser relays and the pet damage isomag with phaser damage buff so I get massive phaser damage. My phaser lance can one shot a Voth Dreadnought. And it has the elite Romulan dual squadron pets. One of the best ships in the game

some of my favorites as stands the t6 science tar cruiser the Yorktown class turned odyssey class cause i adore the odyssey's design even more so i love the t6 kardashev command dyson science destroyer ever since they came out i have loved the unique designs of the dyson class line for their uniqueness and their functionality for a science vessel they have amazing tactical ability and versatility between its normal mode and tactical mode and its advanced shielding is a life saver if your having issues and your shields are down and your taking hull damage throw up that extra shield and it will hugely buy you time for your hull to recover from damage and your normal sheilds also the luna class for its versatlilty and its more iconic variant the uss titan

I am torn between Galaxy variants and Sovereign Variants I really look forward for whenever we get that new variant of the Sovereign that was spoilered by console ship vendors. I really like the world razer despite its goofy saucer on PC, I felt a bit down after grabbing the Borg assimilator on Xbox and for me Baby V'ger will always win over the assimilator. Still unsure what my other favorites are. It mostly depends on my Toons I'm playing. Temporal agent's get something classic like a old school Miranda while Delta recruits often get something fast like Nova classes. Despite being in possession of 2 Odyssey variants, and even as they grew on me over time, it always feels like a cheap move to pick them. Don't know why, with the Bajor shields they even look kinda TOS but somehow it just doesn't fully click for me.

Totally agree! 🤣 Hmm, for me my top ships (This isn't really in order) 1: The Lexington - was my go-to Tank platform for a while 2: Kelvin Timeline Intel Dreadnought aka The Vengeance - I just have a lot of fun with this ship and it's my current Tank platform 3: Vulcan Experimental Science Ship aka The Squid - I love the design, I love the unique factor and we all know that true end game is Space Barbie, it's not one you see very often (if at all) Honorable mention would have to be my Scimitar (Thought I use the Tactical Dread version and I know most other have the Operation Dread version) it's still just a "Pretty" ship and has that iconic movie feel to me, much like the Kelvin Timeline Dread, and anytime I fly it with my Reman officer (Yes, I went full Star Trek: Nemesis theme with it =) ) it's just a visually intimidating ship. I have the 10th & 12th anni. bundles and always go back to the Lexington. I had it packed with crafted [Pen] phasers, but I just unpacked the 10th ship that unlocks the Advanced Phasers and will be changing for them in my FAW build. I love it's ability to just PLOW into clouds of enemies, blow them apart and come out almost unscathed (shield damage only). I'm always surrounded by plasma balls and Chidyat swarmers due to traits. I also have the D.O.M.I.N.O. and the console from Excelsior II, and am debating on getting the console from the Ahwanee to make it a triple haste threat.

I love the Hydra, that's the ship I always go back to. I use it as a beam boat (I know, some might think that's odd haha), using a full set of Spiral disruptor beam arrays for broadsiding.

I tagged you in a picture I took on X a little while ago btw, I noticed that the new Voyager is a sovereign variant. I wasn't sure if anyone had talked about it yet. You can see it in the ship vendor. I always assumed it would be a Voyager variant. Weird.

I love the Kelvin timeline intel dreadnought cruiser... it has everything i want. Then the Legendary D7, if i play a klingon, although i have only 1 klingon character... they are the enemy you know. Then the legendary scimitar if i play a romulan. Yeah, again, only have 1 Romulan character. I do not follow the meta, nor do i chase any DPS... i just want to have fun, and my fun is to try not to die.. so a big hull and lots of heals and pets, is a must..;)

Typhon has been very popular. Ahwahnee has a really good console and trait for carriers, and isn't bad itself if you like standard sci carriers. The Discovery Constitutions (and Disco D7) are really good Flight Deck Carriers.

I bought the lifetime sub on sale years ago. between the zen monthly that gives and farming dil on all my alts I end up with about 9000-11000 zen every 6 months or so. And occasionally I'll drop 20-30 bucks a couple of times a year to up my zen even more when there's a zen sale. I don't have everything but this method has gotten me quiet a bit through out the years. Right now I just got the legendary inquiry pack on sale. Still have the promotion ship and two t6 tokens. And one extra token plus just got the typhoon. And like 2k lobi. So I'll have like 8 new ships I can play around with here once I have some time to invest in the game
