I have psoriasis, I found switching to a whole food planet based diet. Of course dairy and refined sugars get eliminated. I found fasting works great too. What I did discover is that if you have leaking gut, any food can cause an immune response, that is where fasting comes in, it give the gut time to heal. I was in the hospital for 5 days, water only and i found my skin cleared up, so you know that diet has something to do with it. I believe leaking gut is the source of the problem coupled with how your immune system reacts to it. For some it could Lupus , other arthritis and people like me psoriasis... I prefer not to take the drug route!

Great for you, removing gluten ha no effect for me or is small so I cant distinguish from natural variation. After trying all sort of stuff and diets and food avoidance I can stop psoriasis is to clean bowels, then water fast for up to 10 days , and after that eat bone broth, meat and fruits, everything else is suspicious. Everything stated has an big effect, fasting without cleaning bowels doesn't work so well , like just 1/3 of effect or none or even worse. Changing diet only takes a long time to kick in, but after a fast much faster , because a fast resets things faster. But you can have an skin bout when you just start eating , takes 1-2 days for bowels to start working as they should.

I have been coping with autoimmune disease for over 40 years. One thing most people don't realize when they stay away from gluten is that soy sauce is not made with soy - it is made with WHEAT. If you want that sauce, you have to use Tamari sauce, which is not made with wheat...also, you can find eggs from chickens that are not fed soy ... I know that you have not spoken of soy being a problem, but I have learned that, with celiac disease, hypothyroid, vitiligo,occasional flareups of psoriasis, and an episode of vasculitis that showed many autoimmune markers, I have learned to stay away from soy...I know eggs were on your list of no-no's, but perhaps it was what the chickens were fed. Also, although I have stayed away from all alcohol for years, this also is true. Many people think that vodka is made from potatoes...well, sorry to inform the vodka drinkers, but Grey Goose vodka is made from ... WHEAT! There! My two cent's worth! 😄

Well, I'm 67 and I have had Psoriasis for 30+ years. I have tried everything you suggested with no success. I have been on Skyrizi for 3 years and I am completely free of Psoriasis and I feel great. Medicare pays 100% of the Skyrizi treatment. I now eat all of those foods you suggest not to eat because without them my quality of life is not good! Also, I am retired and low income living off of my Social Security Retirement check and I could never afford all of this "organic grass fed meats". So in my opinion this diet will help many people if they can stand it but it will not remove Psoriasis 100% from everybody.

I live Nebraska and I dealt with this while growing up. I payed sports and worked out side during the summer. When I graduated I moved to Colorado and latter that early fall honed the service and was stationed in Hawaii and it all cleared up. As soon as moved back to Nebraska it started up again in the colder weather. I think it’s gotten worse over the years and can’t wait to move to Florida sun shine is a big part of it. Changing diet is the second part. I found when I had control over it I could eat anything I wanted in moderation. Good luck and may god be with you!

Hi Todd, I have been fighting Psoriasis for 32 years and have tried everything there is to knock it down. Years ago I also went to Hawaii on vacation and it also subsided for me as well but came back when I returned home. I am a southern California native and lived here for 50 years before moving to Rual Northern Caliifornia. As you know we got sun in California as much as Hawaii or Florida and that didn't help me at all but it did finially give me a stage 1 melonoma diagnosis two weeks ago. I'm having surgery next week to cut it out. Doctors all agree that Skyrizi was not the cause they believe riding my Harley Davidson all my life did it. Especially in Sturgis every year for the last 20 years with no helmet.

@@cgdrider the cancer is a different subject. When we go out side in the sun we still need to put sun screen on. I’ve been dealing with it for 57 and 11 months long. I found living in highly polluted eras causes issues as well.

You should eat a Mediterranean diet to cure guttate psoriasis. Replace any oil high in polyunsaturated fats (omega-6) with Coconut oil or olive oil, coconut oil and olive oil have higher smoke points, making them safer to cook with a higher temperatures, vegetable and sunflower oils are very bad, they become oxidized at high temperatures and become very inflammatory, you should eat omega-3 rich infused foods such as oily fatty seafood like Salmon, tuna etc. Green none-starch vegetables are also fantastic as they are not only full of micronutrients but they are also packed with anti-oxidants, which helps calm down your immune system during an autoimmune response. Hope this helps and good luck

Also drink a minimum of 1 litre of cold water every day to help flush out all of your unwanted toxins to help cleanse your kidneys and liver, this will make it much easier and less stressful for your immune system at this time.

Two years ago I decided to switch to a whole food plant based diet. I gave up meat, poultry, fish, dairy, cheese, bread & processed/prepared foods in order to feel better & lose weight. My diet consists of fresh vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds & whole grains. I also eat, non-GMO soy, corn, some black pepper &, on occasion, a glass of wine. Without counting calories I have lost 20 lbs., have more energy, have started an exercise program & feel better. The unexpected results of this diet/lifestyle change are my scalp psoriasis is completely gone & 99% of my arthritic aches & pains are gone too. Obviously, such a radical change isn't for everyone but give up what you can, you will feel better for it.

I’m 59 years old, I’ve had psoriasis since I was 12, I’ve had arthritis since I was about about 45, when I was about 50 I went vegan and then gradually reintroduced foods, I found that 90% of my arthritic pain went away and my psoriasis became almost superficial as long as I don’t eat any dairy. Now I have psoriasis on a lot of my body, but it is very mild not deep it doesn’t crack. It doesn’t bleed which it would do if I was eating dairy. Everybody is different. This works for me but for many people it will not work but it’s transformed my life I can get a decent night, sleep without pain in my hips, I don’t need to take painkillers. If I eat cheese then the same night I will be in pain, if I eat dairy over number of weeks, my hips literally swell up and go red. It’s really worth trying to modify your diet to see if you can make a difference to your body with it. Also, worth mentioning, I don’t eat any highly processed foods at all. The most processed foods, I eat things like Olive Oil.

Fast forward to 33 and had twins with food allergies. Removed dairy, corn, soy and wheat from my diet. Miraculously no more psoriasis. Have flairs of PA if I eat too much sugary foods or have palm oil. Palm oil wrecks me. I have also sense developed celiacs at 40. So who knows with this autoimmune stuff. It's often the A1 protein produced by dairy cows that people are sensitive to. Some different kinds of cows produce the A2 protein instead of the A1 protein. You might be able to handle A2 dairy, but not A1 dairy which comes especially from Holstein cows. Cheeses imported from France, Switzerland and Italy are usually from cows that produce the A2 protein. Goats and sheep produce the A2 protein, so dairy made with goat and sheep milk might work for you. Also, there is coconut yogurt, milk and cream that can be substituted.

Great video. Of course a lot of the items recommended to be removed apply mostly to those products as they are produced in the US. Wheat, dairy, corn, etc is so adulterated in the US but not necessarily elsewhere. Where I live (NOT the US), these foods haven't been mass produced and poisoned. I was pregnant at age 26 and certain foods always caused gastric upset with me before but eating them while pregnant resulted in vomiting. I had multiple allergies and my son was having worsening allergic rhinitis so we went to an allergist when he was 3 and both of us were started on desensitization shots. I found out that I was allergic to lettuce, pork, bell and other peppers except for black pepper, citrus, tomatoes, potatoes, cherries and almonds. He basically validated what I already knew. I am now 65 and have multiple autoimmune disorders including psoriasis,Hashimoto’s and rheumatoid arthritis. Some people just have a genetic predisposition for it but trying to mitigate the causes does help. People claim that I ‘can’t be allergic to lettuce or peppers’ but I just don’t try and correct them. To this day I can’t eat peppers and it’s hard to find food or seasoning with it so don’t eat out much and cook from scratch.

@@siobhanirish1307 Yes, it’s amazing how many ‘experts’ who have no medical training or personal experience with allergies. Beans are classified as legumes which include peanuts and soy, common allergens. People also tell me that that if I can’t eat lettuce why am I eating cabbage and don’t understand that they aren’t in the same category. They will also argue with you that cherries and almonds aren’t in the same family. Frankly, I just try not to tell people as they tell me that I am just a picky eater. My former mother-in-law would chop up bell peppers very finely and put it in potato salad and other dishes knowing that I was allergic to it. She claimed it was because the taste wouldn’t bother me so much. Even picking pieces out left enough residue that I could taste it and have gastric distress for 24 hours. It wasn’t until my husband, my MIL’s son, developed an allergy to crab so that he had huge hives and facial swelling that she realized that a bite of crab dip could cause real symptoms.

@@petesmitt All allergic reactions are not anaphylactic reactions, but they can sometimes develop into that. When a board certified allergist tests and informs you of their determination, I take their word for it. I have seen anaphylactic reactions as an RN. One college student was advised of an allergy but the parents didn’t understand that her symptoms were worsening until she developed a severe reaction that had already occurred on campus. While on vacation outside the US, the parents witnessed a potentially life threatening reaction as they frantically tried to get her to a hospital. The students escalating reactions was already severe enough that she had to be transported to the hospital but the parents who were out of state thought we were exaggerating. My husband started developing hives on his face and when out of town on a business trip he felt bad at the restaurant but by the time he got back to the hotel room his entire face was swollen. Just because it wasn’t life threatening at that point doesn’t mean it can be ignored.

So back in Aug 2022, I decided I was sick of being so fat and started on the Keto diet. Since then I've really been eating more of a carnivore diet with the occasional days of eating off plan. But because I LOVE how I feel when I eat meat, butter, eggs and that's about all, I try to eat more on plan than off. It's not hard once I get though the carb cravings which takes 2-3 days, sometimes a week. Once I'm back on plan tho, it's easy, I feel better and my psoriasis is getting better. EVERYONE in my life is noticing the changes and the healing I'm getting. I LOVE that. I don't use any prescription drugs. I eat a LOT of fat meat. Steaks, ground beef, bacon, pork, ham and more. I never trim the fat and I usually will drink the fat rendered while cooking. The only thing I use to sooth my skin is Eucerin Daily Hydration lotion. It's a light lotion with NO scent. I LOVE IT but I noticed at Costco Cetaphil lotion and clenser and I've heard great things about it so I'm about to try some of that. Once I switched to Keto after about 2 months, I noticed all my plaques became softer, not irritated and some even healed. I still have some persistent ones that go through phases of being more built up but overall, my psoriasis is VERY manageable. I've tried the grass fed, grass finished beef vs conventionally raised beef and I honestly can't tell any difference in my psoriasis. The main thing for me is when I eat carbs. It seems like those cause flare ups but not always. Such a frustrating condition because just when you think you've got it figured out, it comes back. BUT since being on a Ketovoire (blend of Keto and Carnivore) I've had the most improvement and I REALLY STRONGLY feel like my body is finally healing up from so many years of eating poorly. I honestly feel like it's only a matter of time before I not only get to my goal weight (50 pounds gone already, 100 more to go) but also before my skin completely clears. I can't wait for that day!! And it's literally inevitable when I eat this way and man....the food is so good, so satiating, so satisfying. I never feel like I'm deprived at all.

I have had the same experience in healing my psoriasis. I just want to add something regarding the allergies that you mention. I think thay should be considered food intolerances insted of allergies because they don't triger an immediate reaction but rather a latter one as a result of accumulation (that means eating every day or multiple times a week that food to which you are intolerant). On this topic, and in my experience, people that have psoriasis can be intolerant to different foods like nightshades, legumes or other lectin containing foods like chia seeds. Also, those intolerant to yeast don't tolerate mashrooms too. And this is almost not known and discussed, insted mushrooms are considered very healthy. As someone intolerant to yeast, if I add mushrooms to my salad for 3 days in a row, I would get a strong headache that could last for 2 days. This makes me think that yeast/mushrooms might contain neurotoxins. Wherese, my reaction to night shades is even stronger, in less then 24h. About, black or white peper I have no problems with those, and they also did not show up in my intolerance tests. Food intolerances are a factor in psoriasis for sure but, they are not all the same for everyone. Greetings

i think you are wrong to think mushrooms and yeast are similar. a lot of mushrooms are indeed toxic because of very well known and studied compounds (not all of them but a lot of research has been done on this) and i would even suggest that specific mushrooms are very beneficial for very specific problems, medicinal use is ancient, not to mention inner-dimensional exploration for those who wish to go there.. (psilocybin) that said, there might be problems with how most commercial species are grown, mycelium extracts not only good things from the substrate to grow, it tends to eat heavy metals and other harmful things so that might be more of a problem, also it's not a bad idea to make sure mushrooms are heated enough and well done (if that's how it's said in english, the opposite of raw) anyhow we indeed are what we eat and most of it is contaminated unless you live and eat far away from our modern civilization and even that's not a guarantee. important note: a lot of plants make and contain chemicals we shouldn't be eating like you said nightshades (tomato potato etc) but also legumes (peanuts, beans, lentils, soy eyc) are much worse than most can even imagine.. oops i read your comment again and see you mentioned all this to :p

I understand. It's an immune response to the food protein creating chronic inflammation. It's an IgG allergy vs. IgE allergy. Yes they are different for everyone. The foods I recommend removing, however aren't because of being either though. These are food that create inflammation in anyone who eats them . This is why they are a starting point. Thank you for your comment.

You explained straight away in a very easy to understand way about gluten, and, although my ex’ who passed away last week had this and I dont, Ive realised I MUST QUIT WHEAT! Especially as you dont seem to get a choice of non g.m.o. Or organic old fashioned varieties even in corn flour or thickeners. I was diagnosed very weak coeliac years ago, and asked my dr. For a prescription for non gluten foods. She said oh you dont need that its only very weak, so carry on as you are. I reckon its harmed my kidneys as i eat biscuits a.m. and if i dont get chance to stop or even get nutritious food round here. Also, when they started introducing it and marketing it well years ago, people started dying quick, so they had to make it “mandatory” to “fortify with vitamins”, to cover the effects. Dairy actually depletes the calcium from bones in order to digest the foreign dairy protein. Just think how it makes you flag my which is your body’s response to try and get rid of it out of the body. Also - I long for healthy places (with no dogs) with organic food and recipes that are wheat dairy and corn free. I always told my kids at school DONT have ANY sweeteners or soya if you can help it. But i like pepper it is needed to help the body absorb turmeric. Also it has an array of minerals. And I’m still having my occasional Asti. I NEVER BUY ANY PETROCHEMICALS. - I mean veg’ oils. Rapeseed oil is IN OUR BREAD and nearly EVERYTHING you buy from a supermarket along with SOYA. If EVERYONE STOPPED BUYING the stuff, they’d have to give you better produce. You have the power! Sorry this is long. Hope it helps someone. I cant stand the VERY CRUEL way our animals are now slaughtered with bolt guns, and petrified in a crate, and pigs being gassed. When are people going to realise. This gas will affect THEM!

I heartily wish that organic meat and veg was available in my region. I have eliminated many of the foods mentioned and can definitely feel an improvement in my general health, plus dropped a few kilos. I cook more often, including more variety (in a retirement complex not always easy spacewise). Anyway, so far on the mend.

I've removed or greatly reduced all of these as they are unhealthy as it us. I still occasionally eat some of the things mentioned. What has greatly helped me is I've started taking lion's mane and turkey tail over a month ago. It has helped me a lot. In conjuction with that I've used Chinese ointment and in less then a month my bad plaque spots have healed or just about gone. I've then switched to mushroom max and started taking NAG or N-Acetyl-Glucosamine. Mine happens to be N-acetyl-d-glucosamine which is the active form. It's the precursor to hyaluronic acid. It also has helped me. My skin has been feeling normal before my psoriasis showed up. My skin quickly absorbs lotions etc. now. I most likely have a predisposition to psoriasis genetically. It showed up almost 10 years ago when I was around 23.

Thank you for your info, I have had a psoriasis for many years and I will do an allergy test, that's one thing that I haven't done. I have adjusted my diet but I'm sure that I have many allergies that has kept my psoriasis going strong. At this point I'm suffering from extreme leg infection where I have some dark spots and open soars. I'm finding myself itching my legs while I'm sleeping, even when I wrap my legs with elastic bandages. because they itch so much. I will see my dermatologist asap....so thank you fort keeping me on track.

I have Psoriasis and it is absolutely a pain in the ass. I currently inject Tremfaya every two months (and it is amazing). But it is incredibly expensive and my patience assistance program is about to run out. I also understand a homeopathic approach is healthier than pharmaceuticals. I have seen a few videos sharing similar lists of what not to eat...which is basically everything I do eat! What I would prefer to see is a list foods I should eat. What do I eat for breakfast...lunch...dinner? Salad...salad...and salad?

Hi. I was diagnozided with psorisis on 2019 due to a big flare that I had. At that time I did not hear about psoriasis. But my parents reported that since I was 2 years old I always had skin issues that were miss lead as eczema but now, I can say that I have psoriasis over than 54 years😢. I confirm that diet can eliminate psoriasis as far you can emotionally control yourselve your wills: Since 2019 I have been using diet without nightshades ( it is not hard for mee) BUT I am having some flares when I eat gluten, diary and sugar. It looks like that I am addited mostly to gluten and sugar😭😭😭. I confirm that when i dont eat those unhealthy foods for me, in the following day I got scalp psoriassis or plaque in diferrents parts of the body. Therefore, beside diet I do have to find a way for not faill again

Psoriasis is not a skin issue. It’s a gut and immune response issue 🤯 Everything in body is connected. Run from doctors that are quick to give a prescription rather than attacking the real/root issue.

Because most doctors, or even science in general, see us as easy money. They know this is for life and that most of us will spend whatever amount of $ to get rid of it. So they give you stupid corticoid creams, inmune response supressors like metrotexate and keeps us "happy" with that. I feel like science has failed us. It is not doing a real effort to cure this thing... it shoud be 100% curable by now, like a wide variety of cancers.

I have struggled with psoriasis for many years. My dermatologist pushes biologics, etc. I have resisted and only used topical steroids. I have recently had a flare that really has me discouraged. I have discovered the diet approach via KZbin. Most of the ones I have watched have basically the same restrictions you have, (except pepper and eggs), but some have included nightshade vegetables. I think I can give up wheat/gluten, dairy, corn, soy, sugar, etc., but I am having a hard time thinking about eliminating nightshades. I just started yesterday and didn't eat any of these things. It is going to be a learning curve for sure. Do you recommend eliminating nightshades?
@LovelessHealthSolutions
@LovelessHealthSolutions Жыл бұрын
It sounds like your are on the right track. Night shades, because of high lectin count are hard to digest and can create inflammation. Instead of removing them right away, try steaming them (no raw) and smaller amount. Try taking a shot of apple ciderr vinegar in a little water or Betaime HCL with digestive enzymes before you eat them as well.
