Another nice video, Phil :) I like your voice and the presentation of the footage is also well done. You ooze charisma! Looking forward to see more from you. For my personal top 5 for 2020, I agree about Hades, Animal Crossing and Streets of Rage 4 with you. Haven't played Zelda Calamity nor Cyberpunk 2077 yet so... Tony Hawk Pro Skater all the way for me! I am not sure if I have a 5th legit favorite game from 2020 so I will instead choose a device for my 5th favorite gaming thing of 2020: The PC Engine mini. Introduced me to some really nice classic games.

Hades is actually really gorgeous and I completely agree with all the points you've made for it. I have a similar issue with Hades that it's not great for my wrist that already sometimes gets quite bad depending on the games I play. I would love to play it a lot more but I just can't do it to myself. Funnily enough, just before buying Hades I played a bit of Children of Morta (released in 2019) which is somewhat similar yet quite distinctly different. It also has local coop & Steam remote play together if you're ever up to go to town there a bit :) [Spoilers for this top 5 incoming] That being said: having played both top two games I would even swap them. I just really enjoyed Cyberpunk (on PC), so what can I say. It's still unfinished, of course and I will very likely play it again once there's the definitive edition or whatever they're gonna call it. I haven't actually played the games 3-5 so my third place would likely go to DOOM Eternal. Great atmosphere, gameplay and music. It even got the best music award in the Steam end of year voting. There was also XCOM: Chimera Squad at the start of the year which was a refreshing new take on the genre and while it was slightly stale at the end of the campaign it was still a lot of fun. Other than that, none other games come to mind that were released last year, so I guess I'm only making a top 4 here. Honorable mention for me goes to Pathfinder 2E, which a) isn't a video game and b) was released late 2019 but I've been enjoying the shit out of it with being locked in at home and playing with friends online. Anyway, good video :)

Children of Morta is one I should definitely try as well at some point :D only been hearing good stuff about it! I considered putting Cyberpunk on #1, it was a tough choice for me.

My wrist also hurt something fierce after intense playing Hades and I could not play anything for a day or two.. Otherwise a genius game though :)

Great vid. Can't speak for the switch games but Hades is definitely on my play-soon list. Once I finish with night city that is. I have to give a major shout out to Everspace 2. Best space shooty-shooty game in a long time. Just out of closed beta on Steam/GoG. The rest of the 2020 is a bit of a blur...

I don't think I even heard of Eversden :D but indeed, 2020 feels quite blurry when it comes to game releases

I think I barely played 5 games that came out in 2020 actually, but my list would be, although i really cannot decide between Monster Train and Hades, so I'm gonna go for a split 1: 1. Hades 1. Monster Train 3. Cyberpunk 2077 4. Doom Eternal 5. Fall Guys

Monster Train didn't actually hook me quite as much. I think at some point I just realized that it just isn't the (imho) superior Slay the Spire and I kind of lost interest after that. It's still a good game though :)

@@russischerzar After playing it for a while I decided it was a good bit better than Slay the Spire for me, but i assume that comes down to personal preference :) Although the next expansion will 100% completely overwhelm me with its complexity :D
