Great vid Michael! I’m now 2 months into my journey with my current hair system…. I’m using a mixed lace and poly base as I’m very active and run 5 days a week 3 miles each run, I’ve found that using the sport maximum hold scalp protector and Walker tape lasts me just over a week before I have to do a re fit. I would actually highly recommend this method for any fellow hair system wearers that do intensive sport, this will hold and doesn’t peel off within a few days. I know this will work with most as I’m a very oily/sweaty person…. So if it works for me, it will work for anybody! Keep up the good work mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I love how you genuinely wanna share information and help people, and that you try your best to respond to your audience. I asked a question a while back about having skater hair and you pointed me in Jake Kents direction.. I learned some things from his videos but I found 95% of the time he doesn't respond. Most channels are like that so I understand. But back to your channel I came and I found the answers to exactly what I was looking for lol. Honestly this channel is really valuable to this community. I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers. Thanks for your hard work.

@@michaeljosephghd I am actually on day two with my system, I just did my installation with Phil here out in NYC. Just trying to get over the initial shock of seeing myself with full hair and nervous about upkeep. My system is held with tape, The hairline feels like it can potentially lift a bit exposing the under seam, do you recommend anything to keep that down? I like combing my hair back rather than letting it fall over my face.

To answer Question #5: YES. and to ask a question of my own, your system looks great. I love how it looks natural and you can see the scalp in the front. However, I have seen some people wear the same systems as you have (one being lavivid) and it looks too thick and fake in the frontal hairline. So I am worried on the results, if my stylist/barber can make it look right or not. I do not have a stylist/barber who knows how to install this, if I did I would dive right into the deep end and order one today.
@michaeljosephghd

Thank you! I’m heavily considering it! And honestly I didn’t know anyone that had experience either, so I just reached out to a couple people and a friend of mine actually pointed me to his barber. Told him what I wanted and he told me what he could do. And I’ve been going to him ever since. I apply it myself to save time in the barbershop and honestly because it’s more comfortable at home, but the front hairline I use thinning shears and cut some of the bulk that is there. Better that they give you too much than too little from the manufacturer. Bro, if you want it you should go for it! But wait til I drop my own brand 😆

Lavid offers a long hair system, but it's too long, too dense 110% ,hairline is ok. @@HRCISASKNK Agreed, never can anyone get 3 months out of a ploy system. Trouble with several high profile youtube hair system vloggers is they are compromised by their financial affiliation with various companies. The only guy to trust is STICKONHAIR. His channel is pure gold and doesn't sugar coat it like many Americans. Superhairpieces is not a good company in my experience - poor communication, expensive taxes to pay if you live outside of the US and 3 out of the 4 I ordered were terrible quality.

I thought I’d feel the same way so I started with medium length hair. TOO MANY people asked how I grew my hair out 😂 I say go with what you want. Hey! I’m considering the same thing only my front has gotten very thin too. From around and below the crown in back up to the top its just partially thin, then the front is very thin. The units I get are “medium” density but they’re pretty thick to me for that title. I think medium-light density works for most people but I do naturally have a lot of body hair so medium works for me. Light density can make sense if you want it to be less of a shock to friends and family though 😏

Do you mean placement? Like there’s a gap where you can see scalp? If that’s the case, I’d recommend doing a dry fit technique (I have a video on that). If that doesn’t work then you have too small of a system for your shaved area. If you mean like a bubble or wrinkle then you may need to go a little slower when you lay the system down on the adhesive/tape to make sure it’s not wrinkled as it lays down.

Do you find that on poly units the hair along the hairline breaks off and sheds easily, and then you have to cut the exposed poly off your forehead? Because if you don’t one can see the exposed poly, and what this does is after you cut it enough then your hairline is too high
@michaeljosephghd
@michaeljosephghd 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. And you’re right. In the beginning of the video the hair is a touch farther back - and it’s because I’ve had to trim it a little due to normal wear and those front hairs coming out.
@HRCISASKNK
@HRCISASKNK 2 жыл бұрын
@@michaeljosephghd then you have to reposition the hairline to make it look acceptable. So what I do is in the back I always cut about an inch more than I actually need when I cut my piece from my template. This way when you have to cut the poly on the front and pull the unit down to make the hairline right you’re not short in the back. If you cut the back to the exact measurement you won’t be able to trim the front but a couple times and then when you move it down to make the hairline fight your back is going to be short.

If I were to do it on my own, I’d first make sure that I felt comfortable attaching it AND cutting it. Stock systems have a ton of hair meant for you to cut and style it. If you have a barber or stylist nearby then I’d reach out to them and see if they cut hair systems (bonus point if they’ll install so you can learn a little more the first time). Then I’d probably suggest a poly/thin skin model with tape (it’s way easier but doesn’t hold as long for me).

Hey Michael! Great vid! One question tho, im not sure if im the only one whos got the problem. Im using walker tape to tape my system, but is it normal that it melts on maybe like 5th day? I do my reinstalling every week but it will be more convenient if it will last me atleast 2 weeks as i've seen from other video that they do it even after 3 weeks. Any advice on the tape brand? PS. Im not an active person, and i dont do alot of sweating activity.

I’ve been hitting the sauna after my workouts and it doesn’t really affect it. The hairline adhesive is usually softened by my sweat by that point so I don’t fuss with it much while I sweat. It dries afterword so it’s no big deal.

Love your videos Michael. I am totally on the fence about this issue. Before 20, I had a very healthy dating life but then I had to shave my head at 26 due to MPB. Hey, I’ve noticed my hair system hairline start coming up within a day, is this pretty common? I go to a proffesional hair club place & they say “some people have to change it everyday” didn’t know if that was BS or not. I’ve tried full bond, & tape with bond. Also tried poly & french lace but seems to have the same result. Any advice is much appreciated thanks :)

I’ll say this, I did a full reinstall 5 days ago and my hairline is still solid. Sometimes will it get loose? Definitely. Is that noticeable to others? Nope! But the truth is that you’ve got to find the right adhesive for you and the system. I love poly with ultra hold, as it gives me the best overall result. I rarely redo my hairline in between installs unless it’s a special occasion, it’s loose, and I’ll be active at the same time.

@@lifeoftommy4085 hey! Good news, I found a way around it haha Might make cleaning up a bit harder but in terms of worrying if someone tries to touch your hair that it would pull up this fixed that issue and holds my hairline down now! I don't know if you'll read this. And i think you're going a good thing, showing different companies etc. However, i know you didn't ask but here goes: your hair looks a little off. Your hairline is too hight and something about the sides in relation to the top is not right. I'd recommend lowering the hairline and adding a bit of recession to it. Round it out a bit. Shorten the hair on top or leave the sides longer. And the easiest would be to not show the hairline. I hope you don't take offense to this but i think you could optimize a bit.
