I have the sense that to beat dark link you can just fight without using the 'lock on' in your attacks, as that's what gives away your moves. Once you've learnt it it's a pretty much straight forward boss... I played that a long ago but for what I remember, my struggle was more about finding a way to reach a weak spot than actually putting that to effect...

In vatii's second phase you can just use the suoer spin attack to destroy all the eyes before they regen. I always liked to speedrun that boss battle since its so long and discover that you can save a lot of time and health with this

I'm proud of myself for figuring out the side swing weakness that Dark Link had. Swinging sideways as soon as he'd swing downward would beat him 100%. I found the chink in his armor. Subsequent playthroughs focused and only attacking with downward swings so he'd use those as you prepare to sweep your blade under his.

Tips for Mouldorn, you can slash your sword rapidly at edges to not fall off, or you can dash boots through the boss to prevent being knocked back.

Oh yes the DLC boss a boss that was so easy but yet almost every Zelda KZbinr puts him on a pedestal above everything else in the series even going as far to put him in spots on these type of list that he doesn't deserve. Yes he was a unique fight and had a cool cut scene but that is all about it there. He doesn't do a whole lot of damage I went in only using my Fierce Deity Armor set and he only didn't even take out a lot of my hearts out when he hit me. Once you learn how he attacks and the signs to what attacks he is going to use it becomes a really easy fight. All of this can be done in the first fight and not only that if you find this fight hard then your limiting yourself by either having 3 hearts or not upgrading your armor or both or just bad at the game. In all this fight isn't hard unless you limit yourself in health or defense or both or just bad at the game.

@@alex-gz3kx Not really since the Golden Lynel isn't a boss or treated as a boss all you need is 1 ancient arrow and good aim and the Golden Lynel like most non-boss enemies is dead in 1 shot.

In the end of you find yourself only using the Master Sword and Hylian Shield along with what ever random bow you find laying around around. The Master Sword instead of breaking for good just recharges and the Hylian Shield has the highest durability in the game and takes ages to break unless your trying to break it then.

Maz kosha literally has all of thunder lights moves and more. “Super speed attack that needs to be perfectly dodged? Check. Dropping giant metal objects at the hero and then elecrrifying them requiring the hero to use magnesis to put it on the boss? check . Yeah. I only beat Thunderblight Ganon because I got lucky enough to be standing in the right place at the right time. I magnetized the metal bar and hoisted it straight up and TBG happened to be floating there and so got knocked back into his zippy attack phase.

When fighting Demise, deflect his attacks with your shield and attack him with your sword in the first phase. For the second phase, Demise will raise his sword skyward to be charged with a lightning bolt, do the same and swing your sword so the beam will hit him and then hit him with your sword

Am I the only one who found Triforce heros Moldorm a pain? Yeah he can't send you to previous rooms, but he can very easily nudge your links off of his turf. At first it isn't too bad but when he raises it's tail, progress slows, becuase he simply can't be attacked as frequently. But once you reach the 3rd phase the worst is behind you. Because although his tail raises again, he only has one hit left, and he no long focuses on your links, and just charges around the arena. Thunderblight Gannon is no laughing matter. His lightning fast attacks require a quick reaction time and good timing to parry his attacks and catch him off guard. And one failed parry means you drop you shield and maybe sword and you most likely wind up losing. The fight is really tough, and really stressful. But I'll give credit where credit is due, it looks awesome.

I will agree that the older Nintendo games were definitely harder, but nowadays when Nintendo wants to make a challenge, the old games can’t compare. For example, look at the perfect run from SMG2, inner agent 3 from splatoon 2, or the Pauline spirit battle from smash ultimate.

Ik this is a mini boss, but I REALLY hated my encounters with Iron Knuckles in Majora’s Mask. They were designed to be an endgame fight, making it clear by the fact that he does 4 hearts of damage to you, which is exactly how much Ganon does to you if you for some reason didn’t get the upgraded defense. You can get to the first 2 of those enemies right after you beat the second dungeon and get Epona back, and if you don’t have the gilded sword, forget it. You’re not gonna last long against these things without a good weapon. That said The one from Ocarina of Time was way better, as it had a lower difficulty compared to MM. Both are still really really awesome games, though.

The key for Dark Link is to NOT Z-target and just swing your sword randomly while holding forward on the analog stick. Your swords will clash a lot, but you'll eventually hit him.

omg dr willy ur so right about dark link from ocearena of time, when i first played the game i was only 10. It almost made me rage quit because i didnt know how to beat it. My dad had to give me tips to beat it. But even know that im older and have kids i still gave issues beating him. I found out if u have remasted verson the hammer works but he still can counter it if ur close when using. I had allot of problems because of this. Idk if my game was glitched tho because i couldnt even finish the volcano in adult timeline. For some reason i was unable to find any of the keys including master key. I ended up quitting and returning to the original because of it. If only all zelda games were that challenging tho. Skyward was childs play and twilight was just to easy and boring. I hope this new one ends up fun.

replace Dark Link from OoT with Dark Link from Zelda 2 and put him on the top and you have your winner. You absolutely NEED to cheese Dark Link there (the corner crouch cheese) or else you rarely will beat him. Thats what i would call a hard boss in The Legend of Zelder.

Here are some I believe should've been mentioned: Thunderblight Ganon: My gosh this guy is fast, hard to hit, and of course uses the most annoying element to deal with in the game: Lightning. You better bring a full rubber gear or you'll in for some bad times in this fight. Bongo Bongo: He's a pain in the ass to hit correctly due to him constantly banging on his bongos even with the Hover Boots equipped and should I mention how much damage he can do with his rush attack? He's still the only boss in the entire game that gave me a game over in OoT. Thunderbird: Definitely the hardest boss to me in Zelda II. It has a lot of damanging attacks and I feel like it's damage spread is much bigger than the boss you picked for Zelda II. Also, you NEED the Thunder spell to even start damaging that thing and that spell drains nearly all of your magic so you'll be doing that entire fight bascially just using your sword. Ghiriham: (Most of the fights) Yeah...what makes most encounters with this guy hard is SS's overall gameplay mechanics.

I say nay to #5, 4 and 2. Just because the Moldorm battle can be annoying, doesn't make it difficult. Same with OoT Dark Link. If you had to pick one from Zelda 2, it has to be Dark Link. Back when it was re-released on the GBA, I went all the way to the end, but could never get past Dark Link. That's the only Zelda game I've ever played that I haven't finished. Also, the Demise fight in Skyward Sword. I barely got through him on normal mode. I'm playing again on the harder difficulty, and dreading that final battle.
