Honorable mention: N'zoth in raid finder difficulty. I dont think i have ever seen so many determination buffs in my life. I think we reached +25% which is the cap. Took a good hour or so.

I think the biggest problem with Azshara is the fight length + obscene number of phases. Phase 1, intermission 1, phase 2, intermission 2, phase 3, phase 4. In addition to tracking the wards the entire time, there was just so much to manage and track.

How about a list of hardest bosses to pug? They're not necessarily the hardest for coordinated guilds, but bosses like N'zoth for example were an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to pug and I question my sanity for doing it to this day. So many buffoons getting MC'd because they didn't use their cloak. Bosses like Razageth also come to mind with people getting knocked off. Would be a fun list, because these fights are def painful in a different kind of way.

M Ashvane was very rough in my experience. All 3 healers used double DPS trinkets and still could not hit the DPS check. Also if someone for whatever reason didn't stack the bubbles, we just called a wipe since it'd cost too much DPS to break them out. When most of the raid had a lvl 75 HoA the fight was WAY easier and we could cover mistakes, last essence slot was huge.

Ok I just have to share those 2 stories from Crucible. It's only about HC so nothing absurdly epic, but still for the player of my lvl and skill it's something. 1st boss of this raid: There was a mechanic where hunter would tank. We had no tank, but we had fire mage. Before pull I gave him stamina flask, that gave him some small amount of max HP. He was rather sceptical, but he took it anyway. Later during that pull he barely survived mechanic. Literally he would be dead without that flask. It's one of the most funny stories we share with our guildies. 2nd boss of this raid: Well some context. During this patch our guild compleatly broke and I left we already killed Jaina HC there but we had no chance on Uu'nat. Two weeks later some old guild was reactivated and some members from previous (broken) guild told them about me. I was invited there and offered a position of raid leader. I accepted and I'm on this role in this guild to this day. We had to re-progress whole Dazar Alor raid, and then we came for Uu'nat HC. It was massive wall for us. It was tuesday 23:00. The very next day patch was hitting, so we all kinda accepted that we won't get Curve from this one. Our best attempt was around 10%. We are always raiding to 23:00 max. But there was this one guy. The ONE GUY. That said those famous line "Hey let's just do one last pull". As usual we left that to a rdy check vote. Everyone agreed to this last pull. And just like that we killed this MF. It wasn't clear kill it was absolutelly drama kill with tank and 1 DPS finishing. But we did it and Curved him.

As someone who Mythic raided in BFA I can say the strat we had to deal with was have 2-3 healers for fettid. The dps check was beyond stupid. Ashvane was actually so much easier then any other on this list if you had 5 warriors since they could get themselves out of some of the mechanics. As for Jaina and Queen we couldn't down either on mythic until the following patch, Jaina was fun and Queen killed our guild since at that time everyone went to go play classic since the new raid of Nyalotha just didn't jive with people so just went to aotc for that D:

So actually Jaina CAN be solo'd on Mythic... Its just requires you to be a pet class, and have a LOT of mobility, and sprinkle in some RNG.

I think BFA had some good raids overall, but the mechanics/systems were terrible (except corruption, that was really fun). But the difficulty of the bosses has only gotten worse with time, there are so many shenanigans, trackers and weak ayras that we need to keep in mind nowadays it's crazy. I wish the distance of Mythic and Heroic wasn't as big, since Mythic has such a small and stale playerbase and Heroic feels like a cakewalk after a few weeks. Balancing stuff around Mythic raiding feels weird considering CE is an achievement that only 1% of players get, plus it's really taxing, I've gotten it once and really had to take a break since it was work -> dailies -> raid rince and repeat for 3 or so months

Some of these fights were so much fun, I actually have some great memories from these raids. Though Legion might still be my highlight in modern raiding (Wrath still takes the cake overall minus Naxx which I got to do at least a good amount of in vanilla... but of course being on the server I was on it killed most guilds before BC launched because of a certain guild by the name of Death n Taxes) Edit: Ugh the line of sight on Azshara was actual garbage.

in my opinion, hard doesnt describe all those fights. I agree unnat and azshara were the hardest bosses, but the others are just lack of dps issues wich doesnt mean they were hard. Jaina wasnt a hard boss either, just random p1 and do a perfect dance plus having good rng with the beams, but again i didnt do that fight pre-nerf so maybe it was easier for me, i remember i having to send my felhunter early to interrupt Jaina but of course that is not the same as Gingi disengage plus douple leap of faith strat haha.

Touch of the Magi is bugged in Legacy content. It does 10-12 times more damage than it should. If you can bring a boss from 100% to ~70%, the touch pop will do the remaining 70%. You usually lust once early (to get ice block out of the way), wait until there is plenty of fire on the deck (so you can avoid freezing) then use second lust and burn. As long as you do ~30% of her HP, and do not go below 60%, Touch popping should allow you to skip all other phases. Note: the loot will be unreachable, but the postman should deliver it to you. You can get the mount in the mail.

It has always and should always be this way. If you want to defeat the bosses easily, do LFR / normal / heroic.

Wow raids lost me. Now there're all a convoluted mess. A player losses all feeling for your character as you play dance dance revolution. More often than not lose the fight since there's a 1 shot raid mechanic if 1 person Fs up.

Uu'nat for our guild wasn't worth on mythic because...Jaina was a bitch and not worth the time. Also we saw the WF kill with only locks and Spriest so we were over it. Also farming and selling the mount was just better for our time. I think the hardest was M Ghuun. Simply because the orb carrying had a lot of bugs, there was a learning curve for each phase, and took like 10mins to get set up (that's not including when a lock would forget to put his gate up). Azshara had a WA that held your hand. I never killed M Nzoth because the raid was so boring it was unreal. We got to Raden second reset and I only got mastery amps as an spriest and I just wanted to die tbh lol.

1)The Fetid Devourer boss fight was my introduction to filling in a tank spot and raiding since Wrath of the Lich King. It showed me that Raiding had been reduced to paint by numbers with a dps check, stand here do this based on tank healer dps role. It also showed me that 99% of players are pathetic garbage that can't grasp such an easy fight by looking at it 36 times and that they refuse to watch a 2 minute video to visualize and know what they are supposed to do. 2)Ashvane was a refresher of this, she was sooooo easy, but people just couldn't seem to grasp their role... 3) Jaina was just hell, I and 4 other people in all the attempts we made could do our role just fine, everyone else was just garbage, even when forcing the raid to go into discord and stream a carefully narrated video the guild had made explaining it. We killed her a total of 13 times and it was always some worthless pug that was the lowest dps, lower than the tank, that got the mount.
