I can confirm one of the wrasses defiantly worked as not a single monti has any damage in my display tank where the wrasses are, but I put a small test monti in my sump away from the wrasses and while I was on holiday they have chewed holes in it. I've since thrown that piece away and my tank appears monti free again.

Glad to see my Foxface is not the only one to blow bubbles at the surface of the tank. Another good invertebrate to control algae is an abalone, I have one in my 350 litre system, and I sit and watch it doing laps after the lights have gone out. Constantly eating any algae it comes across. Only downside is, they are like bulldozers and will knock anything out of their way

hello guys , i think Natural approach is more experience in reef tanks ( might be expensive experience ) . and i do agree with your information. wrasses are super cool in removing worms . and pods :P . i have a sixline . my yellow tang is not very good with algea it prefers the nori sheets or flakefoods.. my bicolor blenny is very good with algea on the glass with the help of my trochus snail . you can see the marks of the lips all over the glass. i think the best way to control is to add diversity to the tank . pods are important i think in algea control . to keep them in tank always better than not having them . again thanks for the info and keep it up.

For algae control I have a foxface, a tomini tang, and 2 tuxedo urchins. I feed my cbb with frozen mysis mixed in a bowl with the reef from the tank itself and zoo planktons. I keep this solution mixture refrigerated and make a supply for 3 days. Other inhabitants: a filefish, 2 cleaner shrimps, a naso tang, a lubbock fairy wrasse, mushrooms and pulsing xenia. On rare occasion the filefish does nip on the xenias, but so far xenia still doing well. This is a 200G tank excluding the sump.

Have you ever tried Money Cowries instead on snails? I find them very cheap when importing over here to the UK so can buy them on mass to throw in my coral tanks & they also have the HUGE benefit over snails of not ploughing their shell through my frag racks causing chaos & destruction! I'd presume this due to the fleshy mantle they put out around their hard shell when on the move which makes them go around hard objects rather than powering into them. Plus they can self rite them selves :)

Way of describing the chemiclean bomb I need to do that in my Red Sea S Max 650 , mind you couple weeks ago I had a power outage for two hours and I notice that the ciano bacteria was lifting from the sand , immediately something click in my mind, I had an extra 15 gls of salt water and I started taking all that bacteria , I wasn't able to clean it all but after that my tank looks more cleaner than other methods that I used before all of them mention here by you in the video. Now is being couple weeks after that mayor cleaning but still there not as before but definitely am going to use the bombshell. Thank You.

Subscribed. Love the channel. Question: I would have a foxface in my reef aquarium, but my tank is only 55 gallons. I run a mixed reef with sps, lps, and softies. For fish I have a TSB, white banded possum wrasse (who replaced my six-line when he turned into a wrassehole), a rainford’s goby, a Bangai cardinal, a firefin, and a few chromis. So, I keep it all peaceful and small, but the only thing I have that touches hair algae is a blue tuxedo urchin. If you can think of a smaller, peaceful alternative to the foxface, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Sadly enough, I experienced a bad outbreak of ich and lost a lot of fish in the process. Fortunately, two of the four that survived are my sailfin tang and onespot foxface. My tang has never shown many signs of aggression, but if anyone could give their opinion, should I try to add other tank mates soon so that he doesn´t become too comfortable and aggresive as a result like the one described in the video? I was trying to wait to make sure the ich isn´t going to sneak back up on me, but don´t want him to become a menace for new entrants simply because he feels like he now owns the place (his other two companions are a spotted puffer and goby who are both much smaller like the foxface).
