The man from earth is by far one of the best stories I have ever watched. Low budget, not widely known, but an absolute treasure. Acting was a bit ..eh. story is amazing. They made a sequel...they shouldn't have.

I agree. They shouldn't. They should make a series. Six seasons, maximum. Otherwise the main character will age. Each Season, each era... Maybe flashbacks... With a nemesis, perhaps also unable to age.

@@syedtalhanoor21 yes they need one to serve two reasons. Was the FBI agent the same man he met in 1600's and 1800's. Will there be a woman that shares John's gift of immortality or will he lose it in the new era?

The man from earth is a very good movie, and an other is called, 'no such thing" is a favorite of mine about an alcoholic immortal demon that want's to end his life because he has live forever,but he can't because he is immortal. no blood or scary scenes but a very interesting story. for those who like interesting things. I like it so much i bought the DVD. francis ford coppola is a producer of this one.

The man from earth 1 is a magnificent masterpiece. I enjoyed every second of it. Part 2 not that much. I am really looking for a part 3 and I hope it will be as amazing as 1.

These movies do offer truth to what is said. The fountain of youth was said to have been discovered and bought by the magician David Copperfield. Is it so hard to conceive that out of billions of lives there are a few that possess super human abilities. My family has been gifted with such going back many centuries. I can remember a time before computers and cell phones when life was simple and incredibly different and beautiful. There is no way to describe it, you had to live it. Somewhere in life there holds the answers to these issues and all you must do is live long enough and undistracted by the world and your compassion can find it.
