In this video we explore our top 5 first upgrades you should consider for your Jeep Gladiator truck! In this video, we'll explore some essential modifications to make your Jeep Gladiator, safer, more capable and more enjoyable on your next offroad adventure.
First on our list is a GMRS radio for reliable communication while out on the trails. This is a must-have upgrade, especially if you're venturing into remote areas with limited cell phone coverage.
Next, we recommend adding a winch to your Jeep Gladiator for easy self-recovery when you get stuck in tough terrain. A winch can save you from getting stranded and help you pull yourself out of challenging situations.
The third upgrade on our list is a lift kit to ensure you have enough ground clearance to tackle rough obstacles without scraping your frame or getting hung up.
Upgrading to larger tires is fourth on our list, which not only provides more clearance but also increases traction for better off-road performance. Bigger tires can also give your Jeep more clearance to the axle, so you can get over larger rocks without scraping.
Last but not least, we recommend installing an onboard air compressor. This upgrade allows you to inflate or deflate your tires quickly and easily, making it a valuable addition to your off-road gear. You can also use the air compressor to assist yourself or other drivers who might have a tire issue while on the trails.
So there you have it, our top 5 first upgrades for your Jeep Gladiator truck. Make sure to watch the full video to learn more about these modifications and how they can enhance your off-road adventures. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to our channel for more exciting content!

Good to hear about the winch fitting the Jeep Steel bumper. Looking to do the same thing.

Yea its a simple bracket holder you need depending on your winch and the stock steele bumper works. Its awesome. Plus i tend to like the stock bumper more than most of the aftermarket bumpers. 😃

@@barelymadeit I thought of one more that has been great for my JT - dead pedal to rest your left foot. Not really for trails, but for the long trips to get to them!

curious if you added a dual front end stabilizer yet ? so many say they get wobble/drift once going beyond 33s. Been running 35s for a year now and havent noticed it though I did buy a stabilizer kit as a JIC just haven't been bored enough yet to install it ;)
@barelymadeit

Great question! Im actually working on a steering video that focuses on all these issues. For us we never had a problem with wobble, but all of our joints on our tie rod, drag link, and track bar were blown, even then our main problem was binding and stiff stearing. We now use metal cloak track bar, and fusion 4x4 tie rod and drag link along with the fox 2.0 stabilizer

I do agree with your list… my biggest issue with that I’ve ever seen is that nobody budgets for the better lifts. Ie mc’s gc lifts or other mfg’s full lifts. The biggest thing is drive ability when not offroad. Being budget in the lift category will be detrimental in the long run to the wallet. Love the rig and the red! See ya out there on the trails!
@barelymadeit
@barelymadeit Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I agree its better to do the full kits if you can, but the mopar lift is a decent option and its totally covered by warranty. I hope we see you on the trail as well!! Thanks again!

The same should all apply. Even the metalcloak lift should work perfect. Only Mojave owners are having issues with the metal cloak lift

Agree with all your recommendations. Curious, did you regear with your 37s?
@barelymadeit
@barelymadeit Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! So i havent regeared yet. I have 5.13s ready to install on Wed. Along with a truss. But im having second thoughts. I really dont think you need to. I can cruise on flat stuff in 7th albiet slow. I think the 5.13a might help a little with fuel economy. But its really jot bad. I still get like 15-18 on 37s thats crazy good. My wifes grand cherokee L gets 18 in the city. I also tow in the mountains and my trans temp is never too high. Only maybe 2/3 degrees higher than my buddys in JL/JT with 4.56 gears but ill be towing 4500lbs up a pass. My plan is BFG ko2 39s so im doing the gearing for those and then ill be going with chromoly shafts.

@@barelymadeit Wow 15-18 on 37s is impressive. I'm running 35s on 4.10s and getting around 17-18 with KM3s I really want to go with 37s but contemplating whether I want to do all the additional upgrades to do it right.
@barelymadeit
@barelymadeit Жыл бұрын
@@RimRig_AZ man honestly the dealer put my 37s on when i bought it. Ko2s are pretty light 37s same with km3s they are more like 36s if you go with either of those i think youll be great. Its all about how you wheel. My practice is to only give more gas as its needed to get over an obsticle. So no hard throttle.

We're you running 37s with the Mopar lift? I kind of want a 3.5 inch lift with 37s
@barelymadeit
@barelymadeit Жыл бұрын
Yes i was actually. The mopar lift is solid. The 3.5” did get us higher but the biggest difference was the flex. The flex we have now is crazy and you can feel how much more stable it is on the tough stuff.
