Love this idea!❤ One of my favorite authors is John Steinbeck, however, I really disliked his "Grapes of Wrath."

I also found the research fascinating while doing the video. I read only Mice and Men from Steinbeck but one of my friends said she found Grapes of Wrath too upsetting 🤔 I am so glad to see here, I hope you are all well 🤗🤗

Wonderful video Berna! I have a few Maeve Binchy books that I own but have yet to read (I've seen the film of Circle of Friends and loved it but I have yet to start her books) but the fact that she is amongst your favorite authors makes me more excited to start her books. Based on what I have heard and read on Goodreads, I think I must be in the minority here but I really enjoyed Postern of Fate much more than I expected to based on what I had heard, there are 3 other Agatha Christie that I sadly just didn't like which were the Sittaford Mystery/Murder at Hazelmoor, the Big Four (which strangely Goodreads says I rated 4 stars) and They Do It With Mirrors, but I should re-read all of the ones I didn't like to see if my opinion has changed.

My second least favorite from Agatha Christie is the Big Four, I really disliked the plot structure of that one. The others were fine for me. As for Postern of Fate, the plot was not bad but it needed a major editing in my opinion. Meave Binchy ❤️❤️ I need to read her remaining books, it has been so many years since I read from her 😔 She is an author that I think you will also really like

This is a great idea for a video. It has got me thinking. I just read Halloween Party by Christie and it was very disappointing. Again it was a late one from 1969.

Thanks, Brian was a big inspiration but I also enjoyed looking at my archive and analysing 😁😎 Halloween Party was a book that I quite enjoyed but I loved Ariadne Oliver scenes more than anything else even more than the mystery 😃

@BernasBookishAdventures to be fair it was still a good read, just not up to her usual standards.

I too dislike a book that is too heavy handed in pushing its politics or the authors philosophy.

Thanks a lot again for the video idea. I loved the research process of making the video. Some books even disregard the story in order to give the message. It should be done in a subtle way imo.
