I will also define 'low proof' as about 90 proof or under and yeah, I wasn't gunning to make that a thing as I got into this hobby by any means. I bought, drank, and enjoyed almost as many low proofers as I have higher proof bottles now. But over time, I've discovered that there is a limited number of bottles that I outright enjoy under 92 proof. I'm listing them in order of descending enjoyment/score per abv category (I use a spreadsheet; makes it easy to do): 40%: Green Spot, Cragganmore 12, Dewar's 18 43%: Laphroaig 10, Michel Couvreur Peaty Overaged, Glenfarclas 21, Lagavulin 16, Benromach 15, Oban 14, Old Pulteney 12, Edradour, Glen Moray 10 Chardonnay Cask, AnCnoc 12, JW Green label, GlenDronach 12 45%: Frey Ranch Bourbon, Eagle Rare, Evan Williams 1783, WRDO, Balcones Texas Pot Still in my opinion, whiskey just gets more flavorful with more abv (d'uh), but you don't have to go too high either.

3:57 I honestly am not a huge Buffalo Trace fan. In my opinion Bluff Springs (a Total Wine house brand) is significantly better. Other than that - and it's not that I dislike Buffalo Trace, it's just that I think it's not as good as a lot of other stuff - I agree with everything. Those are all good bourbons, and they're all on my "standards" list. We considered it, but it is really hard to find for a lot of people so we left it off.

Solid video. Only confused by the buffalo trace msrp you listed. Its $25 and yours said $45

Wes did the tiles without me reviewing. He just googles MSRP.

Buffalo Trace price is all over the map. $25 is what it was, and is at big retailers. Independant stores charge what they want, saw it priced at $89.99 for a 750 in Rocky Top Tenn when I passed through last week.

@@Mojoe70 It is a shame what some retailers are doing with their prices. We have talked about it before, but is is illegal for BT to try to influence the retail prices.

@@BourbonRealTalk yeah I don't even buy it anymore unless it's around $25.
