As a professional, I have LOTS of Makita tools. I'm really digging the 40v platform for power hungry tools; no more double 18's for me. I see more tools in future for me like the 40v backpack vac and 40v plunge saw. Your reviews are awesome and I never miss them. Enjoy your summer while the snow falls in Canada!

Mate, Merry Xmas (if you Kiwis celebrate it:) )and a happy and prosperous new year to you and yours. I'm looking forward to you exerting your influence on Makita Corp and getting them to release a special, limited edition Tools & Stuff 40 Volt Framing Nailer, maybe in black plastic with a wee silver fern on it? They owe you, you've probably done more for the sales of the XGT line in Aus and NZ than they could have done if they used Jennifer Hawkins as their spokes model!

@@bartfoster1311 they are really good tools but the selection just isn't there yet to make the transition really worth it. The heat gun would of been the perfect opportunity to make a really useful and good xgt tool, however for some reason, they released a sub standard heat gun on 18v instead

4:18 Do NOT blow a duster or any forced/pressurized air into your ears! I don't know how strong the 40V duster is, but you can permanently damage your or someone else's ear. Pressurized air is no joke. It could be like 10x the "sound" of the loudest concert in the world blasting your ear.

Someone broke into my container on new years eve, stole every cordless tool I had in there. Had mostly M12 and Makita 18v as well as the 60v dewalt grinder. Kinda the kick I needed to really focus on m12 for smaller stuff an upgrade the rest to XGT.

Hello @Tools & Stuff … I bought the 40V 6 1/2” from Japan … but I have a problem with this saw. There is a problem with the adjustment of cutting depth? Have you heard of this “ problem “ from other guys? Or have you experienced by yourself? I’m just asking because it’s a pain in the back when I want to change the depth and I’m not able to do so quickly or I give up because it takes so long …

Apart from myself, I am yet to come across another real life person, tradie or homeowner, that owns any XGT stuff here in Australia. I’ve lost count of the mind boggling battery platforms they make now. 12v, 14.4v, 18v, 36v, 40v, 80v, 64v… that’s not sustainable and should concentrate on just two battery systems and ditch the rest.
