Didn't all of them look pretty much the same? When a new product comes out, before there's a market leader, that's when you get the most interesting product versions. Once the leader arrives, every manufacturer slavishly copies that leader. So every phone looks the same. They're all flat, shiny, and rectangular with slight variations in color.

I must wonder about the efforts being made to design phones like jewelery. But after buying a lot, think most people hide it in expensive sleeves to protect it. So why do not design a high level phone with integrated drop protection. Would make the phone cheaper and better...

Check out the LG V10 and V20. They both have a MIL-STD-810G military rating. Also consider Samsung's 'active' series (s6 active, s7 active etc.)

DON'T get the LG V10 or V20. My best friend had both and both of them had to be replaced because of a bootloop issue. LG is actually facing a class action law suit because of the defect (apparently they all break at some point). Consider the Moto Z (shatterproof), or the LG G6.

You see after explosion all looks the same, fried crispy metal junk.. Samsung should move on to making explosives. Now here's my honest opinion, all the Samsung phones looks the same, just size differs. Nothing new in their design, curved 2.5d or whatever.. in the end they looks the same (outdated looks). Compared to other brands like Sony, Lenovo, Xiaomi, OnePlus(check the OpX ceramic, Physically of course, you'll know what I mean) and other new brands... Samsung phone designs look half-baked. P.s. just make sure to observe physically , digitally or in photo even the ugliest phone looks premium.
