Quinn and Mercedes were best friends in season one. They started off disliking each other and ended up being an unlikely match of best friends. Quinn prevented Mercedes from going down the road of having an eating disorder and Mercedes took her in to live with her when Quinn’s parents kicked her out. She was in the room when Quinn was in giving birth! The unholy trinity was an iconic group of friends but Santana and Britney! who were supposedly her best friends!were not in the room. Out of everybody, she wanted Mercedes with her when she was in labor. I can’t believe their friendship was thrown away after season one. They deserved better.

For both Quinn and Mercedes, Santana and Brittany were the only non love interests the writers let them continue to interact with. Even with those two, the fandom ignores the friendship between Mercedes and Santana, no explanation was offered for why Quinn wasn’t at the Brittana wedding, (Even if Dianna could not make they should have had a moment where they got a card or something apologizing for missing the wedding) and Santana could technically be counted as a love interest for Quinn since they slept together. Fans love Quinn but the writers hated her and Mercedes was slept on by everyone. Amber is so talented. I can’t believe how underrated and underused Mercedes was.

Mercedes seriously had the best friendships in the whole show. She took in Quinn, who wasn’t nice to her, after her parents kicked her out. Quinn later brought Mercedes with to the birth of her child over say Santana. Mercedes and Kurt were basically what Rachel and Kurt had in later seasons. Plus Mercedes refused to finish her album, which she’d been working on for like a year, until she had a duet with Santana on it

this was something i didn't fully appreciate as a kid but now as an adult looking back, the fact that mercedes was one of two major Christians and she was the most accepting and encouraging person in the whole club is really special. like, she was the first person kurt trusted enough to come out to (even if under less than ideal circumstances), she took quinn in instead of judging and shunning her the way her own christian family had, she supported and encouraged unique to audition as herself.... Mercedes is the best person

Everyone's talking about Kurtcedes or Quincedes, but I feel like Puck and Coach Beiste had one of the best friendships on the show. She gave him emotional support when his best friend died, and gave him support when he signed up for the army/navy (I don't know which, but I'd imagine navy because of his pool cleaning service). She may have been a teacher while he was a student, but they had a really good friendship. Beiste was almost like a really cool aunt to him.

Mercedes deserved more in everything in her solos,relationships, and screen time. ( Sam has never had feelings for Rachel, so it’s weird how they put them together when he told her to her face he didn’t-like her fr. (in the prom ep). Mercedes and Kurt were the most healthiest friendship on the show, then they ruined it and him by letting him hang out with Rachel ( plus he started acting different and I started to dislike him). ( also last one I hope 😭her and Artie together are great plus when they sing it’s the best and when I was watching the show I forgot why Quinn asked her to be in the delivery room with her until I rewatched it and realized they LIVED together and they mentioned it once in the show 🙃) I need to stop 😭 I’m getting in my feelings 😂💕
