Amber Riley, who played Mercedes in “Glee,” was often underappreciated in the series despite being an outstanding singer. Her talent was used to support the show but never truly celebrated. The video showcasing her vocal performances from the first season demonstrates how talented she is without giving 100%. The series also had racist undertones, as ethnic minorities like Mercedes were often sidelined while characters like Rachel (played by Lea Michele) were favored. Rachel was portrayed as the ultimate talent, even though other cast members like Amber Riley, Naya Rivera (Santana), and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) were often more versatile and talented. Amber Riley could master any genre, while Lea Michele primarily excelled in Broadway-style singing. Ryan Murphy, the creator of the series, had successful projects, but his handling of the characters in “Glee” was often unfair. The main roles and solos were almost always given to the same, mostly white characters or gay character reinforcing the impression that the show didn’t offer real opportunities for everyone. After Cory Monteith’s (Finn) death, Blaine (Darren Criss) took a leading role, but Rachel continued to dominate the scenes. Rumors about Lea Michele’s difficult behavior and the decision to fire Naya Rivera instead of addressing issues with Lea highlight a tendency to disadvantage POC (people of color). Despite the diversity in the cast, the show ultimately favored white characters. Amber Riley and others deserved far more recognition, both within and outside the series. Their talent could have elevated the show to a new level if it had been distributed more fairly.

I wish he could've been a major character in the show. He had so much potential. He and Mike could've been best friends and dancing duo. Also, a story about him and mercedes could've been interesting.

Actually, dancing in heels is easier for some type of dances because keeping the balance is easier

I think the main problem with the show is that the development of the characters never stuck since the show runners got greedy and kept it going long after the end was due, and so they had to fill all the episodes with plots that stripped the characters of all of their development. Like the whole "Rachel and Santana fighting over the Funny Girl role" plot line, or the "Rachel literally quits her lifelong dream and guaranteed stardom for a TV show that isn't guaranteed at all" plot line. Or when Blaine cheats on Kurt?? Like all of these plot lines seem either incredibly out of character or like something that only would've happened in the first 1 or 2 seasons. The characters become so unlikable because they act like they experience little to no growth. The writers were also never certain of what they wanted the show to be. Do you want it to be a satirical comedy? A serious teen drama? It gave me whiplash.

My unpopular opinion: Puck and Rachel should have been endgame. I honestly thought Finn loved her, but only when it was convenient to him, especially in the first seasons.
