As a retired woodworker with "most" of his fingers intact, I am amazed at the craftsmanship AND patience of the Japanese People. Amazing.

Dedication to one job and doing it to the highest degree is what make the Japanese top notch. We can all learn from them. A Jack of all trades is a master of none… Nothing but the highest of respect 🇯🇵

Having seen the traditionally dressed kimono wearing a young woman in those shoes, I found this extremely interesting. I expected all handwork . This was a lot more machinery than I expected..

@JS-ti8ny22 күн бұрын
No. You’re looking at it wrong. The real skill is this is one of the few people who still have the SKILL SET to operate the ingenious machine tools.
@albertklassen605520 күн бұрын
@ Well, my thinking is, as a skilled tradesperson myself, that you could teach someone to run those machines fairly easily. Much is being made at how skillful these people are. They’re not. It’s just mundane work. Anyone can easily learn it. A skilled tradesperson on the other hand spends a lifetime learning their craft, like a violin maker for instance. These are specialized tools run by unskilled labourers. The real skill was in designing the machines. Those are the skilled and talented people, not the operators.
