This video brought back lots of memories growing up in KC. I lived on 43rd and Bell and went to school at Guardian Angels and Westport High (class of 73). My first apartment was in the Georgian Court Hotel on Armour Blvd and Gillam Plaza. I miss KC. Thanks for the memories

The problem with the Plaza is the lack of a grocery store. You have to go to Whole Foods at 51st. to get anything, and it didn't used to be that way. For decades, Muhelbach's was a grocery store actually ON the main part of the plaza itself, on Jefferson and Nichols road. And the CVS on Main used to be a Milgram's grocery store. That whole area has been largely gentrified and rebuilt. The only things left from before is Minsky's, and the Peanut. Directly across the street from CVS (Milgrams) used to be Tiffany's attic dinner playhouse, and a gay bar/dance club called the Pegasus.

We need some HNE representation :) Pendleton heights, independence plaza, and Scarritt are all ranked higher walk score than Waldo :)

He’s a polarizing figure. While we don’t agree with many of his practices surrounding deed restrictions, etc, it’s hard to deny that his vision of the country club district is nothing short of amazing.
