NGL, I needed this. SNL has been my comedy beacon for 40 years. I started watching when I was 10, because my mom was divorced and I was raised in a very strict Mormon household. I had anxiety from such a young age, and Lorne Michaels and the casts and sketches of SNL would make me laugh even when things were at their worst. SNL has saved me so many times, as I'm sure it has others. I'm out of the Mormon church now, a single mother myself, and I think of how much happier our house would have been if there had been more laughter and less shaming.
