Nice vid as always guys. Just a note on the airfork bleeding the new WP AER48 still require bleeding on both fork legs and checking of air pressure. I found out the hard way so just passing it on

Excellent job explaining the what and the why, which is excellently complimented by the "how to" vids you guys put out. Another reason why you guys are my go to parts source. Would be great if you could carry more Beta compatible parts, but our YZs and CRs are well taken care of.

Tear down your entire garage and rebuild it from scratch a little bit bigger. That’s what I do when mine gets overly cluttered

You didn't mention anything about rebound settings. But could you tell me if I want to reduce the rebound speed of my front and rear shock do I go clockwise or counter clockwise on the clickers?
@FirstGendodgegarage3 жыл бұрын
Counter clockwise
@nateb-runs50537 жыл бұрын
Awesome video thank you, I only disagree with one thing. The "go stiff or go home" comment. If you stiffen up the rebound or make the rebound come up quicker on choppier ground, then you can soften up the compression more for a smoother and plush ride.

He said go BIG or go home, referencing the number of clicks

Aren’t you still supposed to bleed air forks? I’m confused now mine are wp AER 48
@rmatvmc5 жыл бұрын
Air forks you still need to check your pressure as you ride. An air fork won't have a bleed valve like a spring fork, but air forks, just like spring forks, still get additional pressure built up as you ride and the forks heat up so you want to check them and adjust your pressure as needed to prevent your forks from getting a harsh feel from too much pressure.-Chase

How do you set sag on a Quad? How much does it need to go Down? Can you make a video about that?
How come nobody talks about fork sag for dirt bikes, they only talk about the rear shock, aren't they both important?
@rmatvmc5 жыл бұрын
Yes, your fork sag is very important. In most cases, selecting the right spring rate is more a "feel" than an measurement for many riders. Some might prefer a softer spring rate in the forks to make them a little more plush and others might light a stiffer spring for a little more hold up in the stroke. With shock sag, it's just universal that you want to be in the right window as far as static sag once your rider sag is set. Hope this helps.

How the majority of your videos are geared toward dirtbikes? Is most of the information you give in your videos transferable to Sport ATVs?
@chasecook77757 жыл бұрын
just about everything crosses over to ATVs with the exception of the front forks. But everything talked about still relates to a quad, i.e., tire pressure, coolant, oil and bearings.

i just run my crf150rb s suspension with no care in the world, it has the worst feel to it and is abosolute crap now. i just run it and i dont care. i think in a few days i will try to mess with it again but for now, its sh*t!

Nice vid, but i wouldn't label this as suspension tips, rather basic suspension needs ;)
