I can understand not being able to stable the Lord of the Mountain, because it's a holy sprit and a tribute to a developer who passed away. I can understand not being able to stable deer/bears/walrus's, because they're wild animals, but I was really hoping you could tame Stalhorses. They're so cool! Like, maybe could be some kind of weird, shady stable where you could register Stalhorses, and maybe other monstrous mounts. Though, to my knowledge, the Stalhorse is the only monster steed in the game, unless you count the big horse, which is the descendant of Ganon's horse. Oh, or the Lynel. Imagine if you could tame a Lynel. You'd need a heck of a lot of stamina-based foods to actually do it, but just imagine walking up to a stable on the back of a Lynel, scaring everyone in a five-mile radius, and asking the quivering stable master, "can i register this steed?"

they could add other monster steeds and have Kilton run the monster stable. Edit: I could be wrong but I think there is a bridle and saddle that will let you stable the Stalhorse. Its called the Monster Saddle/Bridle

The stamina doesn’t make much of a difference and the strength stat isn’t all that important. Speed really is the de facto stat when in comes to horses in this

Just hit the horse with an ice arrow, it freezes them and you cat stand by its side tapping the mount button until it uunfeeezes and you automatically mount it.

one thing you forgot to mention with the Ancient Gear for the horse is, when it's in Taken Out state and you whistle, the horse spawns next to you, no matter where it's on the map.

Wow! Thanks for informing me about the elite horses. I just assumed that the master cycle was the fastest form of travel (besides teleporting) so it's ace to know I can get horses that are even faster! This also means that horses don't become obsolete for traveling fast if you complete the DLC and obtain the master cycle which, in my opinion, is a sign of good game design :)!

Taobab is a great place to get horses! The wild ones I’ve got from there have actually been better than my legendary’s... I have one that has 2 strength, 5 speed and 3 stamina and another that has 5 strength, 3 speed and 5 Stamina!

So I didn't know the Link amiibo gave Epona as a prize and opened the chest in a really weird location nowhere near a stable and on some weird island water area. I ended up spending almost an hour trying to navigate her around the map to find a stable. Always open your reward chests near a stable.

Only some have been discontinued. Most of the Zelda ones are still available just hard to come by. You can find a full set of the BOTW amiibo cards on amazon. They look like tiny little trading cards but work exactly like a traditional amiibo does.
