Yeah ,but in Tekken 8 everyone has good moves. Tierlist wise though it won't change her position much.

Because Asuka ain't no Dragunov, Nina or Alisa 😂. She is technically bad when compared to them. When playing asuka you have to be a hypnotist playing Mind games all the time while the others don't even have put in any effort for you to be put in an oppressed state easily.

thanks coach, ive been using the knee counter to the nuts espontaneously this week and it gives a free combo , but i forget to use the ff1 . I wil take note to that 1, sidestep (2) since i never know when to use it, but stagggering first looks like a way to sneak in , thanks for this man

If you get the knee counter hit your best option for combo starter might be down back 4 3 depending on where the wall is

If I may add, differently than Tekken 7, you can no longer extend the reach of basic throws by adding F input, since that becomes the new destabilizer throw mixup

totally new player here, like not really coz i did play tekken 7 about 30.5hrs playtime and only silver rank something. so i got a question on any tip i should work/learn first as newcomer? like what should i work on. so far i only master on combo 5 and 6 in asuka combo sample. (i play noctis in tekken 7) and decide to pick asuka as she is my first pick back in tekken 5
@coachkazama843420 күн бұрын
Yes I do! Focus on using your lows and throws when representing your offense. A very common mistake I see in newer players is using mids to begin their offense when it is completely backwards to play this way. This is even more important than learning combos.

what do u mean by “command throw”? do u just mean a non-generic throw like uf 1+2 or something else?
@coachkazama84342 ай бұрын
Command throw means you are unable to break the throw using the generic throw mechanics. Generic throw = Can break with 1 or 2 Command throw = Can only break with specified button

B 1+4 is seldom used by Asuka players and the low is +5 on hit which can be used as a frame trap. It also has extensions for 3 or 4 which you can use to mix up the opponent. I think you should also include that as many better players already know the common Asuka moves and how to counter them.
@coachkazama84344 ай бұрын
It’s not the great mixup that people make it out to be. You can effectively fuzzy timing extensions rendering it useless. The mid comes out faster than the low, so you can wait out the mid and then fuzzy duck to cover the low that comes out slower. The +5 on block is great however and I would encourage players to use b+1+4 > b+4 for a frame tight setup. Thanks for your comment and engagement
@sakurablade3334 ай бұрын
@@coachkazama8434 what’s the meaning of a frame tight setup?
@coachkazama84344 ай бұрын
@@sakurablade333 When there are no gaps in the frames. For example, if you are doing ff+1 (on block) > d/b+1, 2 as a frame trap it is impossible for your opponent to mash out of this pressure. On the flip side if you used something out-of-frame such as f+2 it will be too slow and there is a chance your opponent mashes and wins the interaction
@Justlookingaround194 ай бұрын
Is the move not -8 on block only?. Seems pretty good to me even if they block it and if they don't it's +5.

Great video, coach. But is it really humanly possible to hit confirm db1,2? According to my experiments, you must press 2 not later than 24 frames after 1. The first hit is i14. So you would only have 10 frames to confirm it. Or am I wrong?
@coachkazama84344 ай бұрын
@@knucklesandwich-520 Absolutely, it just takes practice. You are training your twitch reflexes, which are extremely fast.
