Hey guys! I meant to clarify that these products should not be used on the eyelids. The ingredients can be very irritating to your eyelids. They are meant for milia on the cheeks, chin, and nose. For milia on the eyelids, see your derm for removal.

@@celestema2506 Yes! I had them for a good 2 years, if not longer. I didn't notice them at first/I didn't think they were a big deal. After realising I was using too heavy products, I changed my heavy moisturiser to the Cerave Daily Moisturising Lotion, and started using retinol and chemist exfoliation. After 6+ months of no change in the millia, I decided to get them removed. It does sting a little and will heal like a regular scratch. After about two days of healing, they're completely gone! It's scary since its close to the eye, but do see a professional and it'll pay off!

I know I’m late to this party but if anyone sees this I developed milia from slugging every night when I didn’t need to and using Cerave moisturizing cream when I didn’t need it. Am glad to see you've got some cheaper options. I have a further question. I have just finished radiation treatment for tongue cancer. As a result, my neck is a mess from the radiation. It is hyperpigmented (I look like I have a dirty neck) and it's also VERY dry, with scaly patches of dry skin. Which product would you suggest would be best for milia, hyperpigmentation and radiation damage scaly skin? If I need to buy two, I can do that if they aren't too expensive (widowed and in reduced circumstances, yadda yadda). Oh not that it matters I suppose but my cheek and ear are very dry too but not scaly like my neck. I had 39 radiation treatments for 39 weekdays in a row. Thank you if you can help me.

Well phooey. I have millia atop my under eye dark circles (real cute look, lemme tell ya) more often than not and was hoping to learn of a miracle product lol. Already using retinol nightly and chemical peel 1-2x weekly. Patience is not a strong suit of mine lol. I remember seeing in another video (I *think* from Cassandra Bankson but not 100% sure) that gentle - GENTLE - physical exfoliation can help too. Take a few extra seconds while cleansing and rub the millia with your fingers. Super simple. Once I started doing this, it seemed to help me immensely. Or totally could be coincidence and my natural skin cycle has finally come around lol. Regardless, when I looked in a mirror earlier, the millia I'd had for weeks now look like they are finally going away! Yay!!

Hi Dr Dray, although I'm not prone to milia I want to reassure people with sensitive skin that they can use retinoids. I have both rosacea and eczema prone skin which can be hypersensitive, but I worked my way up slowly and carefully to my current regime of tretinoin 0.05% on alternate nights to my azelaic acid. This is keeping my rosacea controlled although occasionally if I have a product reaction (despite patch testing), I have to skip both for a few days. It took a long time and careful preparation to get to this stage, but the results have been so worth it. It's worth a try, but be very cautious initially. Best wishes.

@@IdlanRafiqi I had the same issue and couldn’t tolerate tretinoin every time I tried it in the past. I did some research and discovered that niacinamide can help reduce irritation. I would use 10% niacinamide serum in the morning and night for a month before I started using tretinoin again, and it actually worked! My peeling is now minimal after the purging stage. The niacinamide serum made all the difference. So now, I just use the 10% niacinamide serum in the morning along with spf 50, and 0.1% tretinoin at night.

@@user-dd9gd8yo6k hey! I have dry skin and here in India it's started to get cold and my skin is extra sensitive now so I don't chemically exfoliate my skin much because then I face redness. But in summers, I exfoliated my skin and had very little milia spots, yes it works but takes time. Also, I haven't used products with retinol, that's best when it comes to getting rid of milia.

I just purchased the newer Pixi Clarity tonic. It contains glycolic, lactic, and salicylic acids. And fragrance free! I’m really enjoying it so far and it doesn’t leave a film on my skin like the PC BHA. 👍

Paula’s choice leaves a film because of the things in there to help peel the top and yet protect the skin from active damage. It also smooths so you can moisturize and makeup right on top without getting little rolling balls of product which could give an annoyingly uneven finished face. It seems to make pores smaller. I’ve been unhappy with similar-type products from other makers for that very reason.

I use Amlactin lotion to help exfoliate the milia away from my eye area including the lid (even though it’s not recommended 🤷‍♀️). I take a cotton swab and dab the teeny tiniest bit of lotion directly on the milia and nowhere else. Do not spread it around. I do this 3-4 times/week until it’s gone. I also use a washcloth in the shower to gently exfoliate the eye area to help the process. Some go away in a week or two. Some take longer.

Hi Dr. Dray. I don't know if this is a question that you want to answer, but I have been thinking about this for a while. So, I love watching you and your life seems very appealing to me- I like that you have your hobbies, have a steady work schedule, and have a nice community to talk to. I would like to live a life like that, and I think I will. I don't have too much of an interest in getting into a relationship, getting married, or having kids. However, part of that is because I'm not so good at talking to others and I've never been in an intimate relationship before in all my 23 years. I don't know if you chose that lifestyle or if you are like me who doesn't really know where to start when it comes to intimate relationships. If you don't care to answer, I wonder if anyone else in your community lives a lifestyle like yours. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE my life, and if it stayed like this then that's a win for me honestly, but I wonder what it would feel like to experience being in a relationship and I wonder if you have any knowledge on that. If you don't care to answer, I understand as well. I wonder if other people in your community will have a response for me if they live a solitary life. I probably should look for a video more related to this issue though come to think of it. I hope you are doing well.

My dermatologist gave me a lancet and said I could do it at home myself. But I'm afraid to try it. The one on the eyelid, I could never push in. I was hoping if I nicked it, it would drain over time.
